The thirty-eighth Wednesday of Twenty Twenty Four. Today, we bring over some legends who are rising in the conversation and podcast game right alongside with us. Their focus on their hometown of Anthony, Texas allows them to capture unique stories coming out of one of the smaller surrounding areas of La Frontera. As lifelong friends, their ability to navigate through conversation is smooth, authentic, and refreshing as we get a mixture of chemistry filled banter and great storytelling. Personally, we love what they're doing, as it is absolutely important to document the stories coming from our borderland, and for them to carve out their own niche lane... It's music to our Emmeff ears. Twas an honor to be a guest on their platform, and we hope to have been just as great of hosts. This episode is for the squads out there who've been able to build up something for the long haul. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, live at the HQ, we welcome... Michael, Johnny, and Rawlie... HOSTS of A-TOWN TALK.

The thirty-seventh Wednesday of Twenty Twenty Four. Another classic coming at ya. Today we dive into the mind and all that surrounds it. Our guest, who has been in the field for roughly six years now, is a psychologist whose goals are to make resources for mental health more accessible and digestible, with introducing the matter at much younger ages being one of his biggest long term goals. The Bill Nye of Mental Health, he aspires to be. And as we break down all of the components surrounding our complex psychology’s, we understand why we, as individuals, need to prioritize and be more aware of our mental barriers, or lack thereof. So much stems from how we operate, and this episode was amazing at diving into all of it. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, live at the HQ, we welcome... JUSTIN KEPPLE.

The Thirty-Sixth Wednesday of Twenty Twenty Four. Earlier in April, we were barely hitting the teens of Wednesdays! Also earlier in April, we had a special opportunity. As lovers of music, we are constantly impressed and introduced to new waves of sound that continue to pull us deeper into the sonic world. We had already known one half of today's guests, and in 2021, her collaborations led us to become fans of new production that we may have never heard otherwise. Three years later, we got to meet the man behind said production. Manifestation at its finest. This meeting of the minds has been so inspiring to learn more about because it teaches us so much about our own mission and what it means to come together to create something bigger than the individual parties at hand. Everything you do leads up to where you are now. And we focus in on that during this conversation. It's incredible to see how the culmination of career comes together, and how the perception of your craft evolves over time. One half of our guests has been around our platform since the early beginning, even helping us celebrate our 1-year anniversary. Now, her and our other guest came through to celebrate year number 5. Man... what a celebration it was... pure legends on the stage. And now we get to enjoy good conversation. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, live at the HQ, we welcome... A. Wednesday Number Thirty-Five. Today, we have an absolute monster conversation for you all. From balling it up in the McDonald's league, to passively sharing cross country trails, to Parkland vs Riverside high school basketball - I've known today's guest and unknowingly kept up with his story all through the adolescent years. To see that mirroring timeline get to continue into our professional creative careers is an opportunity for those creators to come together and share wise words. There's two tiers of creators: those who are passive and those who mobilize, and in order to be one or the other, a lot of factors come into play. Our guest today eloquently dives into each of those factors and dissects each one down to it's essence allowing him to continuously challenge not only himself, but the community as a whole. After having this conversation with our guest, we too are extremely prepared and motivated to continue pushing the standard of storytelling here in La Frontera. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, live at the HQ, we welcome... JORDAN ZAMUDIO.

The Thirty-Fourth Wednesday of Twenty Twenty Four. This Wednesday brings us two guests that share a bit about something we haven't had the chance to dive into fully just yet! Beginning with a rekindling in California, our two guests discovered their passion and started their journey within the world of mushrooms. Through education and personal experience, they gained an understanding of their benefits and opportunities, and decided to pay it forward. Spreading their knowledge through the California communities, they saw an opportunity to return to their hometown in El Paso and educate our city on the matter as well. The mission goes even deeper as they have also established a micro-farm with the purpose of providing the city with locally sourced produce resulting in many new avenues of commerce and consumption for our community. We share our conversation with them on the eve of an extremely busy weekend as they continue to make their mark here in the Sun City. Wednesday numero 32. We have now reached our 24th episode. NOTHING BUT GOOD CONVERATIONS. Today, my BRO BRO comes thruuuuu. We first met during our time at UTEP. Our paths were connected through our journey through the college of business, and since, I've been able to witness a colleague become a very good friend. Along the way, we've all been able to see as her career has taken shape in many ways that have allowed her to become a well-rounded professional built to maneuver through today's day and age. Her interests and hobbies have become a platform that allows her community to be better connected, and her education has simultaneously let her build a secure background within the world of finance. A rare balance of risk and foundation that really allows a person to thrive. You know that means! We had to hear all about it... Another Wednesday at the HQ. The Thirty-First, to be exact. Today, we bring an EL PASO ICON over to the HQ. Since 2012, he has immensely contributed to the performance space, having been responsible for introducing many artists to their first time on the stage! Mine included… Beyond 2012, he has dove into the world of creative writing and has not looked back since. Along with hosting and serving as the project director of the longest running open mic series in El Paso, he himself is a well-recognized writer and displays a skill for poetry that inspires those around him. His presence within the creative community mirrors his profession in education. Within both spaces, he leads the way and allows for freedom of expression to thrive. The man is known to introduce so many, and today we get to introduce him. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, live at the HQ, we welcome... RICHIE D. MARRUFO

Wednesday number 30 of the year. You already know what it is, we ain't changing nothing around here! Legends only. Today, we have on our shooters in the building! The Emmeff project is a representation of self-discipline and the art of putting in the work. A lot of the time, we look to our circle of people for inspiration in life. We pull values that they reflect and apply them to our own selves. And with our projects, that is just about where we are inspired the most by our peers. Our guest today is one of the people that I think first of when pondering over consistency. I've witnessed close to about three years of how he operates and something that I've learned the most thru this is how to stay true to your core principles. When everything around is unpredictable, your habits and values are what push you through each season, whether it is full of challenge or reward. Not only can you learn just by natural time spent around him, but as he defines his mission as building community that can grow together, there's an EVEN BIGGER emphasis on how much you can pick up by being in his vicinity. During our conversation, it was an honor to learn that through a series of events, and without the help of conscious interruptions, this life of his could have been severely different. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, live at the HQ, we welcome... JOSHUA SIFUENTES.

The Twenty-Ninth Wednesday of Twenty Twenty-Four. We continue our quest for GOOD Conversation here at the HQ. Today, we invite two very good friends of ours. They were some of the first people we had the pleasure of meeting in the Socorro area. During that time, they were operating a smoked eats food truck called Casa del Humo. The food was delicious, of course. But it was the friendship that I was able to easily build with them that made me want to keep coming back. From their truck to their now 1-year young brick-and-mortar restaurant. Each time I had the opportunity to visit, I was able to speak more with them and learn about how they value food and the service of feeding people. I often overlook how I personally connect with food, but whenever around them, I feel a consciousness take over me and it always gives me a new appreciation for what I'm choosing to put in my belly. Their understanding of what they do and how they go about living their lives is especially translated to the experiences they provide for all of their guests. Homey, comfortable, and familial, they provide a space for people to slow down and take in everything surrounding them. Just what we need in a fast paced world of chaos. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, live at the HQ, we welcome... GABE & MEL PADILLA, owners of CAFE PIRO.

Wednesday number Twenty-Eight. This episode, we feature a very special guest who represents many milestones of our Emmeff mission. Her own journey consists of a multitude of milestones, recognized more as rebirths to her, as well. With each chapter of life comes an opportunity to redefine yourself and to shed off the weights that got in the way of love. We hear how our guest has welcomed this outlook into her life with open arms, and we see how peacefulness can result from that. Naturally, most of our guests reside here in El Paso, Texas right alongside us. But, for today's episode, we also got to hear how music, and a career within it, is perceived by someone not only from a different city, but a different country altogether. A country not far off at all, we should add. Being from Mexico, she fits naturally here in the 915, and it was an honor to be a host for one of her frequent visits through la Frontera. Even moreso, it was an honor to celebrate the vinyl release of her 2023 record, DAMALEONA. An album that brought me closer to my latin roots and to embracing the cycles of life. An album that brought her closer to biggest love, herself. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, we welcome to the HQ... VANESSA ZAMORA.
