  • THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST WITHIN US
*Listen to the Show notes and podcast transcript with this multi-language player.

    Summary:

Walking in the footsteps of Jesus begins with learning obedience. The things that we go through mold us into what God wants. Suffering is used by the Father to develop us into His sons. The result is a relationship in His presence and God pouring out His holiness on us.

    Show Notes:

    • Do you believe God feels pain? He feels pain when He sees what has happened to His creation, especially the miserable plight that the human race has manifested.

    • Why do people suffer? It may not have been the plan for individuals, but some seem to open up in a deeper way through suffering. This is a mystery.

    • As a forerunner, Christ experienced suffering as he matured, not just when he was crucified.

    • As Paul wrote, it's a privilege to help fill up the sufferings of Christ.

    • He disciplines for our own good so that we may share in His holiness. It’s our choice.

      Quotes:

      • We see in the gospels how Jesus thought and reacted.

      • Matthew 23:37

“How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.

      • Suffering has a way of either opening your heart wide, or it closes it.

      • He allows you to go through it because you're going to open up to His love in a deeper way.

      • The pain and sufferings we go through are allowing us to touch a part of God that is real too, that nobody wants to talk about or even acknowledge.

      • We're becoming more like the Lord, who became more like His Father.

      • This is what we're in this process of. We're becoming more like our Father who created us after His image.

        References:

        Hebrews 5:7-8

Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.

        Colossians 1:24

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am supplementing what is lacking a]">[a]in Christ’s afflictions in behalf of His body, which is the church.

        Isaiah 6:5

        Then I said,

“Woe to me, for I am ruined!

Because I am a man of unclean lips,
        And I live among a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of armies.”

        Philippians 3:10

“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.”

        Romans 8:16-17

“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children heirs also heirs of God, and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.”

        Isaiah 53:3

“”He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.”

        Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

        Takeaway:

Part of our growing process with the Father can be quite painful. Sometimes He uses the things we go through to mold us into what He created us to be. We are following after Christ who is our pattern Son who learned obedience by the things He suffered.

      • THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
*Listen to the Show notes and podcast transcript with this multi-language player.
        Summary:
A part of the spiritual armor of the believer is the sword of the Spirit. As the we speak God’s Word by the Holy Spirit, the anointing in that Word divides between soul and spirit, joints and marrow and brings forth that word in the power of God.
        Show Notes:
        • The sword of the Spirit is wielded by the Holy Spirit not us.
        • It’s the anointing through the Holy Spirit on the Word of God that you speak that becomes the sword of the Spirit.
        • The sword of the Spirit divides between soul and spirit.
        • The Holy Spirit activates the Word of God.
        • We must hunger after God’s Word.
        • The Word of God must be our meditation and our source of victory.
        • As we read and meditate on God’s Word it will come alive to us and we will be changed.
        • I know the Word of God is thorough as the sword of the Spirit is being applied. I won’t have to go this way again. He’s capable of doing it the first time if you’ll submit to it.
        • We must be filled with the Holy Spirit to speak the Word of God with power.

        • Quotes:
          • The sword of the Spirit is not our sword to be used. It's the Holy Spirit's sword, and He draws it out when He chooses.
          • There is a time and an anointing when the Word of God you speak absolutely becomes the sword of the Spirit.
          • You'll never be defensive against the word It'll cut through all of the flack all of the things that you put up all your ideologies everything else, because the Word of God is eternal.
          • The sword of the spirit comes in and divides soul and spirit.
          • ...when the word is executed by the spirit of the Living God it breaks through every barrier and creates something that you could never create any other way.
          • ...what you're saying is the Bible was never meant to be a book that was understood by human wisdom.
          • ...the word of God itself is something that God says that you must hunger and thirst after it in order to have it, in order for it to be effective in your life.
          • The carnal mind will never come to the conclusion of what is in the Word. Only the Spirit of God reveals to you, by the Spirit, what God is talking about.
          • Let the word be your meditation. Let the word be your portion. Let it be your guide. Let it be your source of victory. Your source of overcoming.
          • That sword of the Spirit, run it deep, Lord, because Father, I want not to fight, what You're doing. I want it to work to its fullest extent.
          • ...there's coming a time when, as you're seeking the Lord with all your heart and reading the Word, that will penetrate your very being and cause something to come alive in you that was not alive before.
          • It's not just reading a scripture or quoting a scripture, that doesn't have anything in it. But it's when it's filled with this Holy Spirit. That's when the power comes.

            Takeaway:
As we give ourselves wholly to God’s Word, it penetrates our hearts, dividing from soul and spirit, joints and marrow and judges the issues in our hearts. This same Word then becomes within us His sword that the Holy Spirit can bring forth in the power of the Spirit as we speak it forth to do His will in the earth.

            Summary:

A new realm of oneness has opened up to the family of God. The very foundation of this oneness is the Lordship of Jesus Christ and our love for the Father and one another. In this oneness our individuality is swallowed up as we function as His family in His love.

            Show Notes:
            • A realm of oneness has opened up in which we all participate together in something bigger that ourselves.
            • This realm of oneness is not based on all of us believing the same doctrine or teaching.
            • This oneness is based on the Lordship of Jesus Christ and our open hearts to one another.
            • As we function in this realm all our differences fade away as we are aware of our love for one another.
            • This is a new day, the day of Spirit. It’s a day that our Father is perfecting our spirit.
            • Any personal issues and battle is not your battle, but something coming against the oneness of Christ in His family.
            • As we function as a family in this oneness, we stop thinking of ourselves and are totally engulfed in our love for one another.
            • It’s all about the love of God in us.
            • That’s what honors God. You shall love the Lord your God with all of your mind, your heart, and strength. That’s your individual relationship with God. That;s where it begins.
            • As we enter this realm of oneness we begin to love our brother with the same love as we love God.
            • It’s this grace for one another flowing back and forth. We freely been given, and we freely give this life for one another.

            •
              Quotes:
              • God has opened a realm of oneness where we participate together in the love of Christ.
              • We walk with as an individual, then we begin to walk with God together.
              • There's a consciousness of participating in a bigger thing than ourselves.
              • We've come to this level not because we all believe the same exact doctrine or teachings about any given thing.
              • It's a oneness that we're experiencing that I don't think we've ever experienced to the degree it's happening right now, and I think it has a lot to do with the day we're living in.
              • Our oneness is the most effective way that we can function and we are family.
              • We stand together and we see the authority and the anointing and the power of God function through us because of our oneness.
              • The thing that under-girds it all is the love of Christ for one another. That is the foundation of this oneness, this realm that God has brought us into.
              • I'm going to have an open spirit, I'm going to have an open heart, I'm going to be submissive to Christ's Lordship. Those are very specific things that are worked into us so that we can abide in this realm.
              • ...when you stand in it, all you can know is your love for your brother and your sister. What other differences you would have they seem to fade away because we're in this realm together.
              • ...if we recognize personal issues and personal warfare coming up, right then, that it's not your battle, it's the battle against Christ and His oneness among us.
              • You get lost in the fellowship of the believers and loving each member so much, you can't even think about yourself.
              • We are functioning together to be a release for each other. You start doing it and you lose sight of your own things that are going on in your life and you get caught up in the reality of how this body functions and it is a Beautiful thing.
              • I think it all has to do with the love of God.
              • We come into a realm where our love for one another is the same as our love for God.
              • It’s a whole new creation and we choose to live as a new creation. We are not bound by yesterday.

*Listen to the Show notes and podcast transcript with this multi-language player.

                Summary:

Our relationship with our Father deepens as we hunger and thirst after righteousness. The Holy Spirit brings the answer of our seeking Him with a whole heart. True communication, answer to prayer and a relationship that has no end.

                Show Notes:

                • People cannot be “taught” into the kingdom of God, it must come by revelation through the Holy Spirit.

                • It’s our hungering and thirsting after the Lord that opens up that deep relationship with Him.

                • As we enter into this one on one relationship with the Lord, the Holy Spirit begins to make the Word come alive to us.

                • Our hungering and thirsting after God starts with our human initiative.

                • Because our relationship with the Lord is on His terms and not ours, our human initiative turns into spiritual initiative as we mature in Him.

                • Everything has changed, and the way I look at things is different now because I am hearing from God.

                  Quotes:

                  • Two people can be in a room, and they can be hearing the same words. One can open his heart to the Lord and hear what God is speaking to him, and the other one never get it, never understand it.

                  • It's about existing by the relationship you have with Him in the Spirit.

                  • I know that a lot of people will tell you how to get there But the only way you're gonna get there is to hunger and thirst after God.

                  • When you have a relationship; you develop that relationship with the Lord, come to know who He is, then the word becomes alive to you.

                  • It's a simple thing. It's simply opening up your heart to know who the Lord is. "Lord, I want to know you."

                  • That's why we were saying spirit, soul, and body, because so much of this actually starts in human initiative.

                  • ...as we grow and mature, that human initiative turns into spiritual initiative.

                    Revelation 3:20

                    Takeaway:

If you want a personal relationship with the Lord, you must hunger and thirst after Him, there are no short cuts. It’s through this relationship with Him that the Holy Spirit begins to reveal His Word and we begin to see by revelation His kingdom. You begin very simply, just cry out to Him with all of your heart.

                      • We cannot judge the amount of grace that anyone is walking in.

                      • By His grace He is clothing us with His nature.

                      • As we walk in His grace we become aware that everything we are and do is all Him working in us for His good pleasure.

                      • The humility that you walk in is by the grace of God. He walks you through that experience, that impartation. He’s creating in us the humility, the love, the authority that He wants to move through.

                        • In all this we are becoming His sons that walk in His joy and fulfillment.

                          • I look at grace as something personal, very personal between me and the Father.

                          • ...if you're walking in grace, how responsible are you because you receive that grace? That's the other side of grace. What are you doing with the grace that was shown to you from God?

                          • Faith, or grace, or love, it's not us. . It's God working in us for everything. When you start seeing that, more and more you relax because you know the whole thing was God.

                          • How do I prepare to receive His grace? If I say, Lord, give me Your grace, I've got to humble myself.

                          • There's no limitations on what God can do. It's up to us to give Him a voice. It's up to us to give Him a, an abode, a place where He can live.

In this new day of Spirit, the Holy Spirit is imparting through each member of the body, one to another. This impartation unfolds differently for each person as they feed upon His Word and are learning how to use their spiritual faculties so that they can walk in the Spirit with the Lord.

                            Show Notes:

                            • The Holy Spirit may speak and reveal things differently to each person because we are all unique.

                            • Each member contributes his part of what is going on in the flow of the Holy Spirit.

                            • We are learning to use our spiritual faculties.

                            • We don’t stop but we stay in motion so that the Lord can guide us into these new realms.

                            • The renewing of your mind has been by an impartation by the Lord through many people.

                            • As we feed upon the Word that He speaks to us from our brother and sister, we grow and mature.

                            • We are determined to appropriate all the God has for us today.

                              Quotes:

                              • Walking in the Spirit may be entirely different and how the Holy Spirit or the Lord speaks to me. In the Spirit. Yes. By the Spirit. Yes.
                              • Just be yourself because everyone else is taken.
                              • We're going to be speaking words of Spirit as individuals out of our own individual personalities. And it'll be added to and be a part of everything that's going on.
                              • We still have teachers, but those teachers aren't teaching us the way human teachers teach. Their imparting, the unveiling of that impartation for you specifically is totally different.
                              • We've got to learn to use our spiritual faculties. That's where we grow and mature. We can see. We can hear. We can communicate. We can impart. We can receive.
                              • I get up every morning and live life more excited than ever before because there's so much that is unfolding to us. There's so many ways we move in the Spirit.
                              • You can't steer someone who stops, but when they keep moving, that's what God does. He steers us into new realms. new places, new things, new understanding, new revelation.
                              • I don't want to hear this coming from a nominal understanding on a human level. I want to hear the words of Spirit and life that are drawing me into this next place…
                              • All these wonderful gifts of the Holy Spirit come because we feed upon the Word. The ability to see things and then to know how to respond to what God reveals to us.
                              • God has raised all of us up to be a family that partakes of the gifts of each other.
                              • ...I am set to partake of everything that He has made available to me by revelation.

                              •

The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

                                Takeaway:

It is a day of Spirit and as each unique member of His body walks in the Spirit they become a source of impartation to every other member. The many faceted body of Christ speaks, feeds and is transformed by the Word of God that they have become as they follow their Lord day by day.

Worship is where we go into the presence of the Lord and appropriate the Word that we heard, made available to us by revelation.

                                Summary:
We have to have a revelation to really know the Lord. If you are depending on somebody else's revelation, then you are not depending on your personal relationship to the Lord. In this new day it is so important to reach into a level of revelation—of “knowing.” “Knowing” is different than “knowing about.”

                                Show Notes:
                                • When you receive something from the Lord, when there's a revelation, you enter into a deeper relationship with Him. Your life will change, and it will express this new revelation, this new depth.
                                • The pure evangelism is not what we say, but what we are and what exudes from our life. People see God in you, you changed, you were transformed.

                                  • When you enter that realm, the Lord begins to reveal to you different things that you did not know or you were not aware of.

                                    • Today the door is open for you to walk in this new realm of revelation.

                                      • As we become more and more spiritual people, we're going to communicate and relate by revelation.

                                      •
                                        Quotes:
                                        • If you say, “I think I know the Lord”, seek Him with all your heart to know Him.

                                          • He's sharing Himself with you. You are His son.

                                            • We change; we move into authority; we move into responsibility (correctly), if we move in by revelation. If not, we're moving by the flesh.

                                              • Somehow we think this is way too mystical for us. We're talking about the spiritual realm that you can't see, you can't feel, you can't hear. This is a new day.
                                              • As a body reaches in, we say, “I never saw things I'm seeing. I never understood the things I'm understanding, Don't make it difficult, because the door is open.

In this new day, the door is open to know the Lord on a deeper level. As His sons, we can reach in for a revelation of things we have not seen or heard. This will enrich your personal relationship with the Lord until your relating and communicating with others will reveal a deep sense of knowing who He is.

                                                Summary:

As this new realm is opening up to God’s people, they must each experience Christ in themselves and in one another. Christ is speaking in His family as each member speaks what Christ within them has revealed. In this atmosphere the true revelation of Christ is appearing and being imparted. In all this Christ continues to intercede for us as He is ushering us into the presence of the Father.

                                                Show Notes:

                                                • This new realm is opening up by revelation.

                                                • As we enter into this realm, we stand on His promises and He answer’s us.

                                                • As Christ is revealed in us we are aware that He is the Word in us.

                                                • Christ is being revealed in His many membered body.

                                                • Christ in you must be an experience to your heart.

                                                • God has said He'll drop everything that we've ever learned that's registered on a human level, and it'll become an old day that we have to discard.

                                                • These new experiences that we are to receive will be imparted through our brother’s and sister’s.

                                                • We want to walk humbly and hear His voice through one another.

                                                • As we are moving as the Christ in the earth, Christ our head is interceding for us that we may come into a new relationship with the Father.

                                                • As Christ brings us into this relationship to the Father, our relationship changes in how we are now relating to the Father.

                                                • How is God expressing Himself to you, or to us right now?
                                                • God is one and He expresses Himself through His triune nature, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

                                                •

                                                  Quotes:

                                                  • What I see happening is a deeper level of revelation is called the voice of the Lord.

                                                  • All we have to do is call upon God and He has to answer us and show us great things. We can come to Him and know that we will receive an answer.

                                                  • When the Lord Jesus is revealed in us, and we're aware, He is the Word, and His Word is always a sure thing, because He has been revealed, in us, not to us from the outside.

                                                  • We have come to the day Where Christ revealed in His body, in his People - in us.

                                                  • Everything is moving, moving, moving to bring us into the revelation of Himself in us.

                                                  • This is a mystery and you don't get a mystery with the human mind. It has to be a revelation. It has to be an experience to your heart.

                                                  • ...I think those revelations, those experiences, I have to believe are imparted through one another.

                                                  • I believe that Christ in us is speaking, and if we're open to hear His voice, we're going to move in together into this new realm.

                                                  • I want to walk simply before the Lord. Hear His voice in a many membered body.

                                                  • Where we're at right now is Christ is taking us, and He's giving us back to the Father as the fulfillment of His ministry.

                                                  • What is Christ doing? What's He doing right now? He's making intercession for us, day and night. Why? We're in that process of being turned over to the Father, and He's praying that we make that step into the Father to complete this.

                                                  • ...He is the door that we walk through into the spirit realm, into the kingdom, into the presence of the Father.

                                                  • Christ delivers the kingdom up within us to the Father, and we begin to come into this relationship that we call our Father.

                                                    1 Corinthians 12:12-13

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

                                                    Philippians 3:13

Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,…

                                                    Romans 8:34

Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, but rather, was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

                                                    John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

                                                    I Corthians 15: 23 -25

But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, 24 then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to our God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

                                                    2 Corinthians 5:19
namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

                                                    Takeaway:

In this new realm of Spirit that we are living in, we are coming into the revaluation of Christ with in us speaking. As Christ speaks through His many membered body it reveals and imparts His nature and brings the completion of His lordship within each member of His body as He hands us over to the Father. A whole new realm of relationship to God opens up to His family.

We believe in a triune being, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is one, we are one. That is the introduction in the mystery that we are moving into. The mystery is being unveiled.

                                                    Summary:

Today the family is reaching into a new realm, and a new anointing is resting within them. This anointing comes by the Holy Spirit and is manifesting in the laying of their lives down in love for one another. They are following in the footsteps of the Master as He laid down His life for us all.

                                                    Show Notes:

                                                    • We each have received a special anointing of the Holy Spirit to function with in His family.

                                                    • He is drawing us into what we looked for our whole lives, a relationship with God. He creates in us a walk with Him in this realm.

                                                    • With this anointing we are speaking the Word of God to one another.

                                                    • This is a new realm in God and we will lose our soul life and yet it will be our greatest joy.

                                                    • In this new realm we are laying our lives down in love for one another.

                                                    • As we walk on in this new realm, the Father works in us His nature so that we walk in the same way Jesus walked.

                                                    • Only as we see our brother through the Father’s eyes, can we truly serve and love our brother.

                                                      Quotes:

                                                      • This is a very unique anointing that actually makes it possible for you to flow to one another in the Spirit. Because the anointing is there not only to speak, but to hear, to receive, so we're giving and receiving.
                                                      • We have come to a new day. We have come into the day of Spirit.
                                                      • We've been washed by the water of the word as it has flowed out of our mouths to one another …
                                                      • As we walk on and we mature in the Lord, we find out that He requires us to walk the way He walked. Yeah, there's a requirement to walk in the selflessness. In the giving of your life, in the love, all these things.
                                                      • God is freeing us to understand by revelation to give your life and lay it down for your brother when you perceive the Father's heart toward them.
                                                      • ...we're really serving Him to the extent that you did it to them the least of My brethren. You did it unto Me.

I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

                                                        Takeaway:

To the extent that you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it unto Me. This is becoming a reality to those who are pressing into this new realm of His love today. His anointing comes to release us into a flow of His love one to another as we lay our lives down for the family.

I’m no longer calling you servants, because servants don’t understand what their Master is doing. Everything I have received from My Father, I give to you.

Our Father offers simple solutions to the complex and impossible situations our human mind produces. He opens the door when asked for His solution; the mind of Christ is His provision.

                                                        Show Notes:

                                                        • The Lord takes us to a place of utter devastation so that we don’t trust in anything except Him.

                                                        • God saying, “I want to give you a new mind, a new heart, and a new spirit.”

                                                        • Our mind and our emotions are probably the greatest access the enemy has to us. How do we appropriate the mind of Christ?

                                                        • This utter devastation produces within us a broken spirit and a contrite heart which God does not despise.

                                                        • We must come to the place of total trust in Him as He is giving us His mind.

                                                        • We must persist in our putting on the mind of Christ.

                                                        • I wished it happened overnight and it does as much as I can handle.. To me there is a tremendous amount of grace involved.

                                                          Quotes:

                                                          • ...the Lord takes you through a place of utter devastation, utter abandonment to anything that you would rely on in yourself. You rely totally on Him.
                                                          • God's saying it's not enough that you just do what you do because you've learned what you've learned. I want to give you a new mind.
                                                          • You have a broken spirit and a contrite heart. And what that does is that opens you up for His solution. And His solution is your initiative. To take the mind of His Son.
                                                          • You've got to come to the end of yourself. That's a principle that applies to so much in our walk with God.
                                                          • He will cover you with His love and His grace and let you come to the end of yourself.
                                                          • Trusting and believing Him, that He will give you His mind.
                                                          • We can only trust what the Lord is speaking to us and bringing that mind and really making Him the Lord of our life. He is the Lord.
                                                          • ...just call out to the Lord and ask Him for His mind or His thinking for His heart…
                                                          • I'm taking my mind, and I'm getting rid of it, and I'm taking His mind.
                                                          • ...God is faithful to His Word. And our persistence in doing what the Lord is showing us to do is truly the answer.

Let your conversation be without covetousness ;and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

                                                            Takeaway:

As God deals with our carnal mind He takes us to a place of utter devastation in our life. This produces within us a broken and contrite spirit as we learn not to trust in anything of ourselves but to put on the mind of Christ and wholly trust in every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
