  • The Overflow
*Listen to the Show notes and podcast transcript with this multi-language player.

    Summary:

Walking in the overflow of the Holy Spirit is a key to a overcoming life. Our hungering and thirsting after the Lord opens the door as the Spirit of God within us makes the Word living in our hearts and then we begin to overflow as fountains of living water. You are giving God His voice to all the world.

    Show Notes:

    • We can't play with a walk with God and expect to walk in a overcoming life.

    • Our overflow is perfected by God through the Holy Spirit; His voice speaking through us.

    • Communing with the Lord is the answer to ministering out of the overflow.

    • Christ made this principle so easy by being our example.

    • Hungering and thirsting after the Lord opens the door to the overflow.

    • Words are either empty or freighted with the Holy Spirit.

    • As the Spirit of God makes the Word living within us, we become the fountains of the overflow of His Word.

      Quotes:

      • Think you can play with this walk with God, that you can sing along in the spirit and prophesy and have experience now and then, and you will overcome the world by that; you are badly mistaken.

      • Communing with the Lord is the answer to the fullness, to receiving the fullness.

      • Ministering out of the overflow of what God's doing in your life is so easy. God designed it that way. And Jesus was the example. We look to the Lord, and we draw.

      • ...you have to hunger and thirst after it. And then the Lord is faithful to supply the overflow.
      • The flow of His life, the anointing, whatever you want to call it. It issues from the Word living in us and being alive in us.

      • The Living Word only becomes living, if the Spirit of God makes it living.

      • Words, your words. It's what those words are freighted with. That makes all the difference in the world, the overflow. That's what the Holy Spirit is doing.

      • What is the overflow? It's an overflow of what God has transferred to you. You are now filled and you're ministering out of the overflow.

      • The overflow, you could say it's the Holy Spirit. But you could also say, a man that has been thirsty and hungering for the Word of God. It becomes so living within him that it overflows.

      • The greater works come out of the overflow, the greater works are to become a way of life for us.

        Jeremiah 29:12-14

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

        John 7:37-39

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” 39 By this he meant the Spirit whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

        Acts 1,2

The upper room and day of Pentecost)

        Take Away:

Being filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit in our lives is the key to walking an overcoming life. As His Spirit overflows in us it makes His Word living and sharper that any two edged sword. As we speak that Word out of the fullness of God within us, we have entered into the greater works that God predestined for us to walk in today. This becomes a way of life for us.

      • The Heart Of God’s Shepherds
*Listen to the Show notes and podcast transcript with this multi-language player.

        Summary:

Today God has brought forth shepherd's after His own heart. As we grow and mature we find that we all are shepherd's and we are all sheep. We are to build one another up in love and put a foundation under each one so they can stand. The heart of a shepherd will cry and intercede to see God's people come into all that He has for them.

        Show Notes:

        • As God brings forth shepherd's after His own heart, they must know their relationship with Him.

        • We find that we are all shepherds and we are all sheep. We shepherd one another.

        • We refuse to criticize one another, but instead we build a foundation under one another in which we can stand.

        • There is something about laying down our lives, it is what Jesus said. We lay down our lives for each other.

        • We are to build one another up in love so that everyone feels they are important in His family.

        • A shepherd cries and intercedes for the people.

        • A true shepherd feels the responsibility for the people.

        • The great shepherd is creating shepherd's after His own heart.

          Quotes:

          • God brings forth shepherds after His own heart, they have to know who they are. They have to know their relationship with God, and how He's relating to them.

          • And see, the truth is, we're all shepherds. And we're all sheep.

          • We're those who absolutely care for each other in the family.

          • I think the worst thing you can do is criticize somebody. The minute you criticize, that puts up a wall, in that person's thinking about himself.

          • We're here to build each other up in love. And that, to me, is the greatest tool we have.

          • ...if you have a shepherd's heart, you react with your heart. Now, where did you get it? God gave it to you.

          • Lord, is it time to do what it takes to bring them back? Is it time to enter into intercession on their behalf?

          • When you start feeling the responsibility, that's the beginning of a shepherd's heart right, there.

          • I think we're in the most creative, wonderful time of our lives now where we have this ability to create those brethren, that are going to be a part of the thing that makes up the family, the body of Christ.
          • Doesn't the scriptures say that we are co-creators with Him?
          • We should be worshiping, and thanking Him forever, for doing what He's done in our lives, because He is the Great Shepherd, who's creating shepherds after His own heart.

          • You know whom makes the most effective Shepherd, the sheep. What did What did Christ say? My sheep know my voice. Those sheep follow the shepherd.

          • When the time comes that God puts you in a place of being a shepherd. You've been taught very well, because you've been taught by His Son.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

            John 21:15

Now when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My lambs.”

            Romans 8:25-27

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

            Take Away:

God has brought forth a family of shepherd's after His own heart. As they love and care for one another, they are fulfilling the heart of the Great Shepherd as He echoed in the scriptures. “Do you love me? Feed My sheep.”

Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

                  • Jesus Christ, the Word has appeared in us. You see, and that becomes the witness that we carry into the earth, that Jesus Christ has arisen. He's arisen in a people.

                    Summary:

We are one with Christ and are the creators of that worship that the Father desires. As teaching priest we impart to God's people and shepherd them into His presence. Just as Christ our great high priest, we walk in His footsteps giving our lives to see His kingdom come forth in the hearts of all God's people.

                    Show Notes:

                    • God is raising up a priesthood to minister to Him and stand in the gap for the Body of Christ.

                    • The teaching priest put the Word of God into practice, they walk out the Word and shepherded the people into His presence.

                    • Do you care enough to give your life to see God's kingdom come forth in all of His people?

                    • There is a divine order and that starts with us being who we are suppose to be.

                    • These priest are intercessors, they're intercession is for the Body of Christ.

                    • God is looking for a pure priesthood that will love with His love and lay down their lives for His people.

                      Quotes:

                      • You're here because 2000 years ago, Christ was interceding for you, and birthing the Body of Christ, by giving His own life, walking it out, from the cross, to resurrection.

                      • The prophets spoke the Word of God, but it was the priesthood that put it into practice - the teaching priest.

                      • We are to be a kingdom of priests going into His presence. And from His presence we, gain that strength, we gain the ability to minister to the Body of Christ.

                      • That we're concerned enough, and we care enough that we want to see Christ's Kingdom established in in the hearts of people. Do you care enough? Are you concerned enough to see the body of Christ become the thing that God ordained for it to be?

                      • I think the heart of the priesthood is more sensitive, and is more full of the love of the Father, than any function or ministry that's ever been in the earth.

                      • The love of the Father in us is the mark of the priesthood of Christ.

                      • He's looking for the pure priesthood.

As He disciplines us and we turn to Him in our deep repentance, we begin to mature in our eternal relationship with Him. As we mature we begin to express back to our Heavenly Father our deep thankfulness and joy knowing that He is working all things in our life after the counsel of His will.

                        • In our time of need and repentance we turn to our first love.

                        • God enables us to repent and to turn to Him to receive His joy.

                        • He wants to give us life more abundantly, give us joy more abundantly. It's not about the things that we have to turn away from. He has this unfathomable love for us to experience.

                        • He is trying to lead us into a state of joy, a way of life.

                        • The reward for many things in God is His joy.

                          Quotes:

                          • And it hit me that in our turning away, that's an opportunity to express our heart in thanksgiving to the Father.

                          • As we continue on in the lifestyle of repentance, it turns to Thanksgiving and joy.

                          • I think the reason we go through a lot of the sorrow and the negativity is because we fight what He's doing. Because we don't believe it's for our good.

                          • I can't create myself, we think we can. Society and culture teach us you can.

                          • do we want to say okay, God, I was wrong this time and I'm gonna do better, or do we say, God, I pour my flesh out to be killed. And I turn to you to fill me with Your heart.
                          • Repentance is the turning of your heart, to your first love.
                          • if you have the heart of thanksgiving, and you have the perception of I'll call the mature, I think the things you go through are shortened considerably.

                          • It's not about the things that we have to turn away from. He shows you those things, simply because He wants you to turn away from them because they are weights, they're sins, they're weights that keep you out of His presence and keep you out of His joy.

                          • How do you know that you've reached God? All of a sudden you have His joy, because now your heart is lifted higher, and the joy of the Lord is your beginning.

                          • Don't you think that the Lord can enable us to repent, to turn to Him and receive that joy?

                          • The whole thing about the Bible is joy.

We are God's workmanship. He want's to create you according to His plan. We start with opening our heart and letting our prayer be,”Lord I turn away from what I am not. I turn to You to be what You want me to be.” As we turn to Him in thanksgiving, we simply ask Him for His nature to be created within us.

                                Show Notes:

                                • Our daily walk with the Lord includes a persistent asking, Knocking and seeking His face.

                                • In our repentance we come too another step of turning away from what we are not, and turning to Him for change.

                                • We stop defending our nature and open up to the Lord to ask Him for a new nature.

                                • As we turn to the Lord, our first step is to thank Him.

                                • This new level of repentance is so positive and creative. We simply open up and ask the Lord to change us.

                                  Quotes:

                                  • It's a daily getting up, Lord, I'm open to You today. And I ask, I keep asking, I keep knocking.

                                  • There's another step; and that's turning away from what we're not.

                                  • You are His workmanship. And He wants to do the job according to His plan. What you do is you say, “Father, create in me what I am not.”

                                  • So you quit defending your nature, quit defending who you are, and you simply ask the Lord, “Lord, change me.”

                                  • Lord, it's your choice, not mine. I turn to you, and repent for what I am not, I turn away from what I am not. And I turn to You to impart to me, to give me, put it in my heart, put it in my spirit, what You want.

                                  • The first step of receiving something from God is saying, “Thank You, Lord.” And then He'll help you with the rest of receiving it. You will be His workmanship every step of the way.

                                  • We change in worship. When you come before the Lord and say “Lord fill me, Lord make me Your son.” When we address Him face to face we say “it's You Lord I want to love.”

                                  • The new level of repentance. It's called turning to. It's that creative faith I guess you call it creative, open heart. “Just ask Me. Open up to Me. I'll displace all the other stuff.

                                  • That's a wonderful place to be, because if you can experience just one time in changing something in you. Wow! From that point on, the universe is yours.

                                      • Our love for the Lord and our love for the Word, we put it where it's safe. Nobody can take it away form you because you hid it in the right place.

For the church to move the world today, they must throw off man's religion's and reach in to have the same deep relationship with the Word of God. We must cling to our relationship to the Word. We too must become living epistles read and known by all men.

                                        Show Notes:

                                        • We are to live in the overflow of the Holy Spirit.

                                        • When we live there His joy fills our hearts.

                                        • The Holy Spirit helps us with this, in that He brings back to our remembrance our experiences of being in His presence.

                                        • We must be in motion for the Lord to direct us into the appropriation of these things.

                                        • By the provisions that the Lord has given us of appropriation, (The Communion and Worship) we appropriate the overflow of the Holy Spirit today.

                                        • This is the way of life, the culture that He is creating in His family.

                                          Quotes:

                                          • ...When you get that overflow of, of that type of joy, you're so; you're uninhibited you, you lose all your self consciousness; you just spill over on everybody.

                                          • I believe that's the way we're supposed to be is an overflowing vessel of His joy.

                                          • You talk about rattling the earth, you will rattle the earth. And everybody around you if you walk in what I'm talking about is the overflowing joy and love.

                                          • I say let's do it, Lord. My statement to the Holy Spirit is okay. I'm eating of the body that makes this capable. I'm drinking the blood that has the life to make this capable. And then I open my heart and I worship Him.

                                          • It's a way of life. It's a part of the expression of the culture that we're a part of.

                                          • We send this podcast out with a heart that believes God's people are turning to Him.
