Identifying and overcoming relationship abuse is tough, but there are so many strong survivors out there who are here to help! One of them being, Gina Mellish, your Miss New Jersey USA. Join as Gina and I talk about her experience with her journey as Miss NJ USA, her experience with relationship abuse, One Love Foundation, and so much more!

Gina graduated Cum Laude from Marist College in May where she earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Public Relations. The fashion industry is where she feels the most at home with her creative mindset and ambitious spirit. Gina has interned from numerous renowned fashion brands in Public Relations including Giorgio Armani Corporation and Jovani Fashions.

As a survivor of relationship abuse at a young age, Gina is passionate about educating young men and women on the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships. She teaches workshops with the One Love Foundation in hopes of reducing the statistics of relationship violence. While studying fashion abroad in Italy, Gina had the opportunity to visit 13 countries and 25 cities and hopes to visit all 7 continents in the future. Gina best describes herself as brave, adventurous and independent.

The One Love Foundation is dedicated to improving the relationship health of future generations. The non-profit organization has educated more than 1.15 million young people through educational workshops, both in-person and online, by teaching them the signs of unhealthy and healthy relationship behaviors. One Love was founded in honor of Yeardley Love, a 22-year old college student whose life was tragically cut short when she was killed by her ex-boyfriend.
