LIVE FREE > GOVERN YOURSELF: The Durmaz Family Podcast

alone.

Internal: Spiritual liberty • Liberty of conscience

External: Religious • Economic • Civil • Political liberty

Our Mission

We’re resurrecting the authentic American Dream — self-government under God — not someday, but now, according to His promises.

The Family Behind the Mic

A first-generation American father of Turkish-Scottish heritage, his Japanese wife, and their five children — thirty years tested in what is distinctly good about family, faith, and America, and how those three govern real life together.

Our Story in Brief

We walked away from a thriving business, our home, and familiar comforts — risking even reputation — to seize the blood-bought freedoms Jesus Christ, the unseen King of freedom, offers today, inwardly and outwardly. Now we’re inviting other households to do the same.

What You’ll Hear

• Practices of Christian self-government you can adopt this week
• The biblical roots of liberty — clear, simple, livable
• Historical lenses that make sense of the present
• Constitutional literacy for ordinary families
• Family-table conversations that model order, joy, courage, and covenant faithfulness

Our North Star

When the marketplace seduces, religion oppresses, and the state controls, households must recover their call to govern themselves under Christ the King — the unseen King of freedom. That’s where real liberty is born — and where it endures.

Because living free and governing yourself isn’t a dream deferred — it’s the authentic American Dream, resurrected.

❤️ Support the Resurrection of True Freedom

Freedom endures only where love sacrifices. This is true of Jesus Christ, of the Reformers, of America’s Founders, and — by grace — of the Durmaz family. May it be true of you.
