LIVE From the Basement - DELETE

This episode we discuss what’s next.  We’ve been producing and releasing this show for over 10 years and we’ve decided to take it back to the earlier days.  To when we wouldn’t take ourselves so seriously and have more fun.   It’s been one hell of a ride and it wouldn’t have been as amazing as it’s been had it not been for everyone who has worked on this show, and more importantly all of you who have downloaded, listened, called, emailed, tweeted and supported us over the years.

We appreciate all that you’ve done for us over the years and we hope we can continue to make you laugh, think and have more fun on the train ride, at your job, during the commute or wherever we are with you.

Thank you, and see you all next episode!

Drop us a message, let us know what YOU wanna hear!

This episode we showed up, we pushed some buttons and talked about some things.  Hope you like it.

Are you getting too old? Let’s talk about age, Steve Harvey’s mistakes and Logic’s album “The Incredible True Story”.

We bid farewell to 2015, some of our favorite show moments, Steve Harvey, a debate over Complex’s latest list of rappers and more!

This episode we discussed the painful Keith Murray battle with Fredro Starr, checked out The Game – The Documentary 2 for Blend It or Bump It and more!  Download it and check it out!

This episode we talked about the Drake & Future album.  We also spoke with Brooklyn Bodega‘s Wes Jackson to talk about his article aimed at a Complex magazine writer’s blog post disparaging true hip-hop heads.   Also this episode we started our first Hip-Hop Draft, reviewed Jay Rock’s 90059 album and more!

Major, JMack and Mola1 sit down and have a convo with one of the unsung heroes of West Coast hip-hop, former DJ to Ice-T and right-hand man to Dr. Dre, Chris “The Glove” Taylor.  This was by far one of the most enlightening interviews we’ve had.  Also this episode, Hip-Hop Essentials and odd couples in hip-hop.

Major wasn’t in this week so JMack and MOLA1 decided to hang out in the basement and go through some of our favorite interviews over the past 10 years of the show.  Interviews this episode included Daz Dillinger, Sean Price, Billy Corbin Director of Cocaine Cowboys, Bishop Lamont, Raphael Saadiq (kinda),  Joe Budden,  Stat Quo, Buck Shot, Killer Mike,  Treach and AZ.  Check it out, let us know what your favorites were!

We’ve taken rap lyrics from your favorite songs, and turned them into plain, proper English.  We also talked about Macklemore paying respect to the classics and we reviewed Scarface’s new album Deeply Rooted.  Review this album and play Rap Wordz with Friends with us!

This week we ask you what hip-hop biopic do YOU want to see? We picked ours and discussed them too!  We also went in on the MTV Video Music Awards and of course you know we had to talk about Kanye’s rant. Also this episode it was time for our hip-hop essentials, this time we picked essential mixtapes!  What are some of your essential picks?
