Go on a mission of hope today, and make some good things happen. But resist the urge to post about it on Facebook, and see what happens.

As I courageously lean into the lives of people around me, treating them as if they are part of the insider’s club run by the God of the Universe, I see hope show up in great measure.

Who do you believe Jesus was? Was he just a good man, a good teacher, a prophet? I believe Jesus is the Son of God…and since this all about hope, I believe hope is only found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Hope rests beyond the misunderstood present moment and looks ahead with optimism. When I put my hope in God, I’m certain that what happens will make sense, even if I can’t see it at the time.

To be a person of hope, I believe it’s imperative to have your hope grounded in faith. Faith provides the foundation, the rock—the cornerstone, from which you can live your life.

I’d like to encourage you to be brave and go after what God has placed in your heart to do. But don’t do it to find your identity, or get people to like you.

My job is to let hope be what I anchor my soul to…instead of all the temporary things life seems to offer.

I have to continually remind myself what kind of person I want to be, and not the person that other people might want me to be.

I don’t ever want you to think I’m an expert at hope. I’m just a guy who is closely acquainted with hopelessness, and for me, the way out of that black hole is reminding myself what I believe.

Gratitude is continually choosing to not place such high value on my own feelings, and instead, placing higher value on the people around me that God has put in my life—people who are desperately wanting to experience God's love, hope and compassion.
