I’d like to encourage you to be brave and go after what God has placed in your heart to do. But don’t do it to find your identity, or get people to like you.

My job is to let hope be what I anchor my soul to…instead of all the temporary things life seems to offer.

I have to continually remind myself what kind of person I want to be, and not the person that other people might want me to be.

I don’t ever want you to think I’m an expert at hope. I’m just a guy who is closely acquainted with hopelessness, and for me, the way out of that black hole is reminding myself what I believe.

Gratitude is continually choosing to not place such high value on my own feelings, and instead, placing higher value on the people around me that God has put in my life—people who are desperately wanting to experience God's love, hope and compassion.

One thing I need to constantly remember is the power of gratitude—hope’s secret weapon. When I’m grateful for all I have, for all that God has done for me, it’s easier to have hope for the future.

What does it mean to see with God’s eyes? To look at the world with the heart of Christ.

There are many people living in fear all around you. You probably can’t tell about most people, and some may be more obvious in how they express fear.
