We did it! Challenges completed, Maxi running his second marathon and Leigh completed her 42 kms of swimming. We give thanks to everyone who completed a challenge for us, the Live Learn Survive Committee that helped pull this event together and the volunteers and helpers who showed up on the day to support us. Hundreds of books will be donated to schools and libraries as a result of our first every May challenge, all with a goal to help reduce preventable drownings.

Back together in Brisbane only 2 days out from our first ever Live Learn Survive Community Safety Day we could not be more excited with a few nerves as we also celebrate Leigh's birthday. Maxi is ready to run his 2nd marathon and Leigh has only one short swim left to complete her 42 km. Enjoy this special weekend catch up with Maxi and Leigh.

Just under 2 weeks to go of our May 42 Challenge and Leigh has just completed 35km of her 42km swim. Gearing up for our first ever event we have never been busier but are so thankful to everyone getting behind us and showing their support, it truly means a lot.

At the halfway point of the 42 challenge saw Leigh clock up her 20th kilometre swimming and Maxi also rowed 42km at the Fire Station with the 62 Crew. Straight from the pool and totally winging this episode sees Leigh forget to plug in her microphone and lucky Maxi had 2 random facts to keep the show on the road! What a week, launching our first every 42 for 42 challenge in style in Sydney, thanks so much to everyone who came out to cheer us on at the pool and then in Centennial Park including the Fire Engine and crew from the City of Sydney Fire Station. We are so humbled to have over 15 challenges going around the world raising funds for Live Learn Survive and advancing the education of children around water and fire safety.

2 days to go and our challenge kicks off, the last runs and swims have happened and this time next week Maxi will have run his first marathon. We cannot believe we have 9 separate challengers taking part in their own #42challenge and we have 4 overseas! So the rule this week, left foot, right foot, left arm, right arm, lets Go!

We celebrate Bondi Rescue being back and a feature on Maxi and we talk about all the excitement around our 42 challenge as we are only 10 days away from May.

So the #42challenge training is going well, this week Maxi ran his first 25km and Leigh is clocking up the kilometres in the pool as we edge towards $1500 in donations. This week we also caught up with our Rescue Squad all around the world and finally today Bondi Rescue is back on TV and so are the crowds  

Huge congratulations to Maxi and our friend Piers Craig for winning the Terranova 24 Hour Adventure Race on the weekend. 130kms of running, mountain biking, paddling, and orienteering through the bush and the beach, what an achievement. This week also saw us achieve our first $1k in donations and we dedicate this episode to Tarian, keep surfing Tarian, we are cheering you on!

This week Maxi and Leigh talk about the training for their 42 challenges as Maxi is about to embark on a 24 hour ultra challenge with fellow Firefighter Piers cycling, running, and paddling through the night in the NSW bushland.
