Daniel and Schelleen have started reading Jordan Peterson's book "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos", and they want to talk about it! Each chapter of the book is an essay on how the reader can live a more meaningful life- presented from the perspectives of cognitive psychology, evolutionary biology, and the Bible.
This week they dig into chapter 1, which discusses how we can change the trajectory of our life by accepting the suffering of life and consciously choosing to face it with moral fortitude. Topics in this chapter include dominance hierarchies, wealth inequality, lobsters, and the evil inside us all!
We hope you enjoy!

On this episode of Teacher Talks, Daniel brings on one of his dearest friends Carly Wallace. Daniel and Carly met at Truman State where they both received their Masters in Education. And while they share a deep passion for education, their teaching careers have taken drastically different paths. Drawing from their own experience, they discuss the factors that are driving some teachers from the classroom and those that are allowing some to stay. They also get into the importance of reading and writing for students in EVERY class and the tremendous good that is public education. We hope you enjoy!

On this episode of The KV Pod we are recognizing Endometriosis Awareness Month! One of our very own, Emily Hanley, has personal experience with endo and she takes the opportunity to share her story with us. Endo is a condition that many feel uncomfortable talking about, so we want to help carry on the conversation. We hope Emily's story encourages those who also deal with endo, and informs those who don't. Thanks for listening!
