___Message from Highlighted:___
Here’s a mix of lovely sounds, hypnotic and bouncy grooves, catchy melodies and otherworldly atmospheres. The mix itself is made from a wide selection of tracks, some of which have been my favorites for years, while some were only discovered lately. Tracks intertwine and blend, presenting a variety of genres such as psydub, psychill, downtempo, chilgressive and psybass.
Sending good vibes and love, Ilya!
About
My name is Ilya Surmay, I’m a DJ and a producer from Ukraine. I discovered psychedelic chillout music in 2015 and instantly became a huge fan of it. With a bit of a background as a drummer and a guitarist I then began to learn music production and DJing. Over the years I played at local parties and festivals in Ukraine and released a few tracks under the name “Highlighted”, also I have another project “il ya” that’s all about slow chill beats with less psy and more lo-fi sound.

___Message from Delightful Imperfections:___
This Psybient.Org podcast, is actually the realisation of a multi-year dream - to carve a sonic journey using my tracks, along with tracks made by the artists who have inspired & lifted me over the years. For the longest time, I didn’t think it was possible. But it really is, and I am truly excited to finally share it with you all.
Massive thanks to all the featured artists for their continued inspiration. If you like what you hear please check out there other sounds.
Big love to you all x x x
___Delightful Imperfections Bio:___
After a lifetime immersed in trance & various forms of electronic music, my creative journey began back in 2009 when I started learning to DJ. Not long after I began playing PsyTrance sets for the MerKaBa Tribe parties & festivals across Jersey & the Channel Islands, which felt amazing, seeing so many happy smiley people, dancing, laughing, connecting….I wanted more :)
Pretty soon after, I turned my focus towards my real passion, the wonderful world of psychedelic chill out. This music has done so much good for me, I struggle to put this into words. It has lifted my broken spirit more times than I can remember, in ways that feel deeply healing & nourishing. This was it, this was what I wanted to focus on, creating musical journeys that help heal & nourish us, help recalibrate & come back to ourselves in this crazy, crazy world. If I can even help one person then that is enough.
My ‘Dreamtime Diaries’ series of psybient / psychill mixes is a great example of this work, covering all facets of the psybient world. Around 2017, I lowered the tempo again, creating ambient journeys for use in mediation, yoga, treatments, ceremony or any other situation where genuine immersion into the moment is required.
Around 2012, I branched out into music production. In 2016 I released my debut EP, and have been creating weird or wonderful sounds since then. Also in 2016, I co-founded the Unity Tribe Collective which hosted local trance parties, with the intention of bringing the local community together. Currently I am enjoying playing a monthly chill out radio show for Widgeon Airwaves & am working towards my latest EP, which will hopefully be out later this year.

The essence shines through as much as one is transparent to the events of the surroundings and even to the experience of oneself. We think we are not enough while what we are here for unfold only in a place transparence to the thoughts, to the mind, to the rest. And it is more than complete.

Hey beautiful tribe, my name is Ronny Gaia, I'm blessed for being asked to record this mix especially for Psybient.org channel - one of my favorites for years now.

There are times in all lives, both men and women, when our internal life cries out with a hunger that overwhelms our sense of self. We cry out for what is good and true but our senses show us only what is evil and false. But fear not. Be still. Listen to the music. Breath and be at peace.
