I think this is one of the most important pieces of growth: become a student of your next transition. Don't be caught off guard by the natural progression of life and situations. This is being actively involved in your own growth and not passively waiting for situations to just show up and surprise you.

After taking a break for a couple of months from recording and posting, I'm back! This episode is about shame and guilt. Creating and producing a podcast is very emotional for me and I recognize that in my lack I can freeze up all creativity and drive. The not-enough-ness has been in my face and I don't want to live in that, it's not fair to myself or others around me. I hope this episode provokes you and draws you out of the dark circles of thought that can paralyze joy and connection.
In this episode, I'm sharing about how to transform your life. Your life begins in your thoughts. How you think is how you feel and how you feel is how you act and behave. To transform your life, you must understand your mindset, see what lens you are viewing your circumstances and processing your relationships. Gratitude is the practice that challenges a scarcity mindset and opens up your emotions to abundance. Abundance is a Kingdom principle. I also touch on at the end what being in a "dry season" really means. Stay tuned even when this episode ends because I'm also sharing who I use to record, edit and engineer the Live Lovely Podcast (hint: it's Kyl Means)
In this episode, I stepped out to talk about something controversial yet very important to me: the control of religion. I hope to relieve either self-imposed pressure or pressure from the collective, or body of believers. For me, being a Jesus-follower is not about a set of do's and don't or should's and should not's - instead I see following Jesus as simply obeying God's commands and the gray areas become a matter of the heart: why you do what you do. Releasing pressure is not easy, as a recovering people-pleaser and religious-duty-performer, it confronts your history, present and future. The goal of this episode is to free you up from the control of others, to encourage you to read the Bible for the truth that it really says and freedom it brings and not someone else's interpretation of what God says through their lens. If you disagree with me, that's okay - let's talk about it.
In this episode, I'm sharing how important it is to be nice everywhere you go. Being nice is the number one way to engage with your life everyday and to be the most present you can possibly be. Even the moments that seem like a "waste" or the strangers who are on the peripheral of your life - it all matters. I also share my thoughts on RBF and how this can be a hinderance to capturing every moment and living fully.
I'm sharing the effect of passive aggression in our culture and how it effects our relationships. I share my experience, perception and practical tools on combating either your own use of passive aggression or the assault of it from others. I even tough a little bit on how to apologize correctly.
There are so many veins and practices in parenting, differing ideologies and viewpoints affect how you parent your children or influence the children in your life where you are a trusted adult. This advice spans every religion and any model of parenting. My hope is that this episode not only inspires you but also provokes you so that you may grow with the practical tools to become the best version of yourself.
In this episode, we are exploring the voices in our lives: which ones champion us and which ones need to be silenced. It seems like a juxtapostion doesn't it? Some opinions do matter and other's don't. Learn how to navigate the voices around you in order to keep your heart strong and your dreams thriving.
