The modern church is facing a crisis of discipleship.

It’s not that we don’t want to follow Jesus. It’s not for lack of effort.

It’s that we need a clear path to follow.

This week we began our new series on practicing the way, with a message on how to practice following Jesus and become more like him. 

This week we conclude our series on the book of Revelation by looking at the vision of the river of life, flowing from the throne of Jesus.

Jesus generously offers living water to all who are thirsty. Are you living fully alive in this gift of life?

The old heaven and earth must pass away for the new to come. On that day, Satan, sin and evil, death and the broken physical world will be no more! 

God will create a new heaven and new earth, where He will dwell among His people forever. In His presence, there will be no more tears, death, sadness, crying or pain.

It’s hard to even imagine this glorious reality! Listen today to develop a bigger perspective of that day in the presence of God! 

Revelation 20 shows the moment in history when God will destroy all that is evil once and for all. He will put an end to death, and judge all humanity by what they have done. 

Everyone who has ever lived will stand before the great white throne to be judged by God.

Those who refused to worship God as the creator of heaven and earth, will be judged by what they have done. But those who have believe in the Good News of Jesus Christ, will not be judged by their deeds, because they have been forgiven, and their names are in the Book of Life. 

Revelation 19 reveals the glorious moment when Christ returns. This is the moment the whole world has been waiting for  throughout all of history!

The first time Jesus showed up on the Earth he came as a weak and vulnerable baby. But when he returns, he will show up as a strong warrior and judge, ready to conquer his enemies and deliver justice on the Earth.

Revelation 18 continues John’s vision from the wilderness that reveals Babylon’s ultimate fate of total destruction.

What can we learn from the fall of Babylon? If you build your life on Babylon, it will not last until the end. But if you build your life on Jesus and His way of life, you will have a fruitful life on earth that bless people and brings glory to God.

Is God's judgment fair?

The Book of Revelation makes it clear that God’s judgement is fair and in the end people get what they deserve.

Why is this so hard for us to see and accept? What if the reason is that we are looking at things from an imperfect and greatly limited human perspective?

The Bible shows us the truth from God's Holy and Perfect perspective.

In today's sermon, we're unpack a better way to view God’s holy and perfect judgement in Revelation 15-16.

John’s vision in Revelation 14 reveals the reality of God’s judgement and great mercy. He says everyone who has rebelled against God “must drink the cup of His wrath.” 

But it also shows God’s great love and mercy, since those who have the “name of the Father and the Lamb on their foreheads” will be saved. 

How can you make sure you are saved and sealed by God Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ will be saved.”

Have you let your friends know about the reality of God’s coming judgment and His merciful offer of salvation?
