Cory Liebrum (Youth and Family Ministry Specialist for the BGCT) joined the show to talk about his passion for providing training for ministry. Cory served in the local church for over 20 years before taking on his new role with Texas Baptists. We talked about his focus on training, about Conclave, and about what Cory would do if he was starting out in youth ministry today. Does God still call students into vocational ministry? Of course he does, but we might not emphasize it enough these days. Rick Cavitt has been in youth ministry for well over 30 years and he joined the podcast to give advice to students who are considering/exploring a call to ministry. Rick also speaks to student ministers regarding how to lead students in this area. She handled the ridiculous Rapid Fire questions with poise and humility, and even helped answer some long-time iGo questions. She shared about her three trips to Japan and how God worked in and through her there. And how her iGo experiences continue to impact her as she lives on mission today. We talked with Mike Martindale, Pastor of The Heights Fellowship in Lubbock, Texas about the essential nature of ministry to teens. Mike has been leading ministry in Texas for years! He served as a youth minister, Super Summer leader, Hot Hearts Director, and now as a pastor. He has so much experience and wisdom to share when it comes to youth ministry. The third part of this series of interviews with Nick Watts deals with suicide. This is so important and so helpful. We are so thankful that Nick was willing to take the time to share with us. This is also really intense and really raw. Nick's son, Jordan, took his own life 8 years ago.
