  • Shriekfest Radio! Denise Gossett interviews director Kevin McMahon!
"Kevin McMahon is a native Nebraskan and a World Champion Athlete who knew he wanted to make films since he was four years old.  A national award winning broadcast student from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, McMahon jumped into the film business immediately after retiring from his athletic career by directing his first short film entitled The Bag, a horror about a young couple on a road trip who pick up a creepy old woman with a large carpet bag.  Always a writer and director, McMahon worked in the industry in any way he could and found himself as a camera operator on several television shows in the early 2000s.  Quickly he became a Director of Photography and over the course of 14 years worked on over 250 TV series and dozens of films.

As a director McMahon has helmed several short films, TV episodes and music videos.  His video for Latin Grammy winner Beto Quevas for his song Quiero Creer featuring Flo Rida was the number one video in Mexico and Latin America for an astounding 10 straight weeks.  Currently he is working to get his feature Military Action / Paranormal Thriller film, Classified, financed.  The short version of Classified based on the feature recently won Best Super Short Film at Shriekfest LA.  Both Classified and his other short film Military Husband are currently making the festival rounds.  Military Husband is a drama about a man who's wife is sent to the war in Iraq and examines what men go through when their loved ones are in harms way.

With favorite films such as Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Thing, Star Wars, The Shining, Edge of Tomorrow and more, McMahon looks to write and create more and more while making the final transition away from camera and back into his first love of directing."

  • Rune Divination 11-1-17 8PM edt
Please join Tchipakkan with her guests Jane Sibley and Thor Halvorsen  on the New Normal 8 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017, 8-9 p.m. edt.
This is going to be a chat about using Runes for Divination. Runes were used for writing, and for magick, but since Ralph Blum came out with his little rune divination kit, many people seem to think that this is what Runes are for. Well, they sure work, so let’s talk about it. Jane Sibley is an expert on Norse folklore and Runes, and Thor is a Rune reader and student of pagan sociology (as is Tchipakkan). This should be a fun conversation. Feel free to call in at 619-639-4606 with questions or comments.

Listen to the show on  http://liveparanormal.com/ , live Wednesday 8-9 eastern time. If you miss the live show, we’ll share the link to the archive as soon as it’s done on fb, and the CTCW.net site, as well as https://Tchipakkan.wordpress.com  Hope you can join us!
