Antonio “Tyger” Olivas, born and raised in Boyle Heights, an Army Veteran, has been a Film Festival Programmer (Fear Fiesta, Reel Rasquache), and Screenwriting Teacher (Beginning and Genre Screenwriting) for Casa 0101 Theater in Boyle Heights.  He studied at UCLA (Theater Arts) and LACC (Cinema).  

An award winning filmmaker, Best Short Film Awards at the Black & Brown Film Festival for “Little Red Riding in the Hood”, and Hollywood Horror Film Festival for “Shockumentary”; other Short Films he has directed include “The Last Laugh” (a Project Greenlight submission), “The Late Shift”, and most recently ”The Case of Doreen Hackett” (for the ‘Annabelle: Creation’ contest).

His produced Screenplays include “Miner’s Massacre”, “Brothers in Arms”, “Fright Club”, “ReVamped”, “Corporate Cutthroat Massacre”, “Super Shark”.  

His coming of age drama, “Forrest from the Trees” was a Finalist at the New York International Film Festival Screenplay competiton, and his comedic-fantasy script, “Maureen’s Daydreams” was a Finalist at the Shriekfest Film Festival.   

A two-time participant in the National Hispanic Media Coalition’s Television Writer’s program, as well as a two-time Scriptapalooza Finalist/ Semi-Finalist.  Recently he completed the Writer’s Guild Foundation Veteran’s Television Writing Program.

This year at the Changing Times Changing Worlds conference Kathryn  will be presenting Kabbalah: Concepts and Historical Overview

The Kabbalah, borrowed originally from Jewish mysticism, has become a fundamental building block of Western Esoteric studies. With mysterious diagrams, Hebrew letters, and often Hebrew terminology, it can seem impenetrable to the new student.

Most of us are not going to go into the decades of study the Kabballah requires, but would like to know a bit more, so I'll be asking some basic questions of Kathryn about the major texts and schools, both Jewish and Christian, as well as history, concepts, and terminology.

Kathryn Smith has been a student of the esoteric in various forms since the mid 1980’s, and began studying with R. J. Stewart in 1996. Since then she been exploring both the Western esoteric traditions and fairy lore. She’s currently pursuing advanced studies in teaching esoteric topics with R. J. Stewart and Anastacia Nutt.

ABOUT VALENTINA MARIE LOMBORG

A gifted Psychic Medium and Paranormal Expert, Valentina Marie Lomborg has had photos of her investigations featured on major websites such as MSN and Bing and is a regular writer for UK's Haunted Times Magazine.

Valentina was born in Denmark to two doctors. She went on to be schooled in Switzerland and Alaska until her late teens.  Her first encounter of the paranormal was having a poltergeist visit her in Alaska when she was 12. That began her fascination with ghosts, something generally most children avoid! From there she moved to California on her own. 

In her early twenties, a freak accident caused a Traumatic Brain Injury that left her nearly comatose and close to dying. That was the trigger that started kicking in her gifts, though she continued modeling and didn't really give into them. Later, in yet another freak accident, this time electrocution, Valentina's gifts once again were jolted-literally-causing the sensitivity in her gifts to further heighten. 

It wasn't until February of 2015, when Valentina's world suddenly came crashing down when she lost both of her parents within 14 days of each other. That started the obsession with wanting to communicate with her mother on the other side. That very quickly lead to having others contact her to do readings for her as well as talk to love ones on the other side. Since then she has for the last two years dedicated her life solely to helping and healing others.

Avishai is a graduate of the NYU Tisch undergrad film program. His script WOLFSBANE was a Shriekfest 2016 finalist, and he recently wrote, directed, and edited the short horror-romance film THIRD DATE. He is a practicing Jew currently living in New York City, but LA is pretty spiffy and he might move there someday, why not.
