A visual artist for her entire life, Amanda Gusack studied film and writing at Hampshire College. During the summers, she worked as a colorist for acclaimed independent animators Emily and Faith Hubley.
Following the production of her psychological horror feature In Memorium, which she wrote to direct entirely within her house, she wrote and directed The Betrayed; a crime-thriller for MGM. She later optioned her supernatural-thriller screenplay to Screen Gems. In Memorium was an official selection at Shriekfest 2006
In addition to her newest love of digital painting, she continues to write films in the horror, thriller, action and sci-fi genres.
