there’s no promise of comfort and convenience, instead there’s the promise of a cross. While this may sound harsh, it’s also an invitation to a new quality of life. According to Jesus, we must lose our self-centered approach to life in order to find our true selves. That’s his invitation to follow him, and that’s his invitation to live well spiritually.
