Live with Purpose

This is episode #78 and this is the series called, Secrets Revealed. We have talked about the secret to find God, and about the key to unlock other secrets. If you haven’t listened to those yet, go back to episode #76. In today’s episode we will continue to explore the key to those other secrets.

SCRIPTURES:
Romans 8:18 ESV.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Trust Him, that He may have a purpose to have allowed you to go through trials and difficulties for a reason. And that you may be a blessing and comfort to others who later will go through the same.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ESV.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Isaiah 26:3-4 
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

This is episode #71. In today’s episode, we are going to think about our own process of decision making, up until now. We are going to dissect it, and then, I want you to figure out if the decision making process you have been using so far, is serving you well. So, we are going to look at what are some questions you should ask yourself when making an important decision. First of all, I want you to remember Proverbs 16:2 and let the Lord weigh your motives. He is loving and merciful and only wants what’s best for you. So invite Him to take part of this process and help you see what works and what doesn’t work, so that you can make decisions for the best life you can have.

When I started to read and learn more about the process of making decisions, one of the first things I came across is a Scripture verse in Proverbs 16:2, “All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.” Looking at our own motives for making decisions is at the core of our decision making because our motives will inevitably influence our outcome.
