Liver cancer is a major health problem, with more than 850,000 new cases annually worldwide. This neoplasm is currently the second leading cause of cancer-related death globally. Among all primary liver cancers, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common neoplasm, accounting for approximately 90% of cases.
