Guest - Jo Vallve

Jo is a Clinical Nurse Consultant for Hepatology at Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital. Jo gives insight and shares her passion for treating and monitoring people living with hepatitis B. Jo raises many important and current issues associated with hepatitis and the different communities she works with.

Donna is a Torres Strait Islander woman who has raised 19 children. Donna tells her incredible story from believing hepatitis C and HIV were the same thing to becoming a Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) Officer and a formidable hepatitis C educator and Aboriginal voice for HepatitisWA.

Max shares her fascinating story as an Australian woman who has lived with hepatitis C for over 20 years. Max is also a prison educator for the Health In Prison, Health Out of Prison (HIP HOP) program and his lived extensively throughout outback Australia working as a parole officer, case manager, Jillaroo, mosaic artist and Aboriginal theatre producer.

Virginia is from the Philippines and is President of the Peel Multicultural Association (PMA), she is also a valuable member of the Hepatitis B team at HepatitisWA. As a community leader and Citizen of the Year for Peel, Virginia discusses the hepatitis B situation in the Philippines and here in WA. Virginia shares her passion for educating multicultural communities and highlights the many settlement issues Filipino people face including domestic violence.
