  • Lachlan Massey: Stability vs Not Being Bored

The one and only Lachie Massey joins me for this week's episode! We've known each other since he was about 11 years old, under my baton as choral conductor, singing the solo for Once in Royal David's City. Since then he's gone on to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music for both highschool and college, and apart from founding and directing an opera company (I remember him telling me as a teenager that's what he wanted to do), he is choral conductor for the Sydney Children's Choirs.

We have a much overdue natter about all sorts of things - how he got into music in the first place, what he's got coming up, and why he's not a lawyer!

  • Rebecca Newman: 400 Year Journey

An amazing conversation with Rebecca Newman, a Growth Architect! If you want to find out what that means.. definitely press play!

This podcast so far has focused on creatives, but Rebecca's approach to work and life is very creative and it felt very appropriate to have her on and learn how she juggles all the things in her life and how it can relate to creatives and anyone really!

I must apologise for the sound on this one. My mic was all set up and I just completely forgot to plug it in..! Call it holiday brain - if you're watching the video version you can see the words "Beach House" in the background.. but thankfully in this episode I let Rebecca do most of the talking and so the poor sound at my end is minimal.

Let me know as ever what you thought of the episode and what you got out of it!

  • Carmel Creative: Dealing with Regrets
This week is a solo episode. I've been listening to Sprouht on Youtube, and he goes around interviewing people asking them for life advice, one piece of advice they'd give a stranger, regrets etc. A couple of the responses people gave really stuck with me, and this one was one of the ones that stood out.
This was the regret a man had for not continuing to pursue his acting career. He'd started to have some success in his early 20s, and then he got scared, gave up and got what he called a "lame corporate job".
This episode is my reaction to his words, and what I think creatives can learn from it.
Here is a link to Sprouht's YouTube. I really enjoyed the wisdom he has collected from people around the world.
As always, let me know if you enjoyed this episode!
