When you get to the heart of the Great Commission it says to MAKE DISCIPLES. Which is not quite as clear as it may sound. In this episode, we will look at what that means and how it reveals a “God at work” process that we as mature disciples are called to participate in with Him.
The Great Commission in Matthew 28 is famous for it’s call to share the Gospel all over the world and make disciples, but is that really what it says? Is there more to it than that? In today’s episode we will be looking a little closer at this text and dig into what it really says and what it should mean for us today.
In this episode, we will be looking at where this call comes from, and how those in Jesus’ day would understand it, as well as what it might look like today.
In this episode we begin an in depth look at the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. This passage serves as Jesus’ last words of instruction before ascending to heaven, giving insight into how things have changed due to His coming, death, and resurrection, and what we are to do going forward. This episode looks specifically at what Jesus means when he says in verse 18, “all authority.”
In this episode our hosts discuss “Why this title?” and what the listener can expect in future episodes.
