Mark continues our series on "The Beatitudes" looking at the Explanation, Implications, and Application of being Poor in Spirit.

Today we begin a new series on Jesus' opening words from his most famous sermon - The Sermon on the Mount.

Kyle Ackerson, Living Church's Assistant Pastor and Co-Pastor of the Crescent Springs House Church, starts this study with an overview and introduction of Jesus' opening words known as "The Beatitudes".

This morning we hear from three dads from our Living Church family. These moms are also grandmas. Watch and listen as they share important biblical truths and principles, and personal stories of fatherhood that apply not only to dads, but to all.

"I will make you fishers of men." Jesus has more for you than just being His disciple. He's making you into a missionary.

In this message Mark introduces us to a tool for our missionary tool belts to help us live the missionary life Jesus has destined for us.

In this message Mark looks at how the apostle John records for us an encounter between Jesus, a Jew, and a woman from Samaria. In the encounter Jesus crosses racial and cultural barriers to share a transforming message.

If we want to know how to respond in the midst of racial and social tension we must look to Jesus. Jesus is the answer because Jesus is the Savior of the world.

Mark shares truths from God's Word in response to the recent riots and division occurring in our country and cities.

As churches begin to make arrangements to gather again inside their building, and our house churches begin to gather in person, let's be mindful not to get distracted and miss something Jesus wants for us at this time. Jesus has more for you, more for us, than just getting back together in person. What is it?

Mark answers that question in this message.

At the end of the Lord of the Rings movie The Two Towers Frodo tells Sam, "I can't do this, Sam." Sam responds, “How could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? Even darkness must pass. A new day will come.” What a question, and how relevant with what we’ve been experiencing these past few months. Frodo says, “I can’t do this, Sam”. Have you felt that way recently? In the midst of the hardship Sam gives Frodo a vision of hope. He says, “A new day will come”.

Is there a new day coming, or is that just a fairy tale? Oh, there’s a new day coming alright. In this message we see how this new day coming is our hope in hardship.
