At Massah and Meribah, Israel faced a familiar test—but instead of learning from the past, they defaulted to complaint and unbelief. God used the moment to show them that the real question was not about water, but about His presence. This message urges us to stop rushing from one struggle to the next, and instead ask the deeper why behind our repeated failures—so we can finally learn to trust Him.

Every testimony begins with a test. In the wilderness, God taught His people—and us—that when we trust Him in the trial, He provides, sustains, and shows Himself faithful. Tests in our lives reveal where we are weak, but they also reveal where God is great, turning trials into testimonies when we choose to trust Him.

From the Red Sea to the bitter waters of Marah, Israel went from worship to worry overnight. Their test revealed hearts quick to complain rather than trust. Our tests serve the same purpose—not to fail us, but to form us, teaching us to rely on God’s word and the God's help.

We live in a culture that wants to ‘cut to the chase’—to skip the process and get straight to the result. But in Exodus 13, God takes Israel the long way out of Egypt, protecting them from battles they aren’t ready for and teaching them to trust Him. In our own lives, God’s route is often slower than we want, but it’s always the one that shapes our hearts and builds lasting faith.

Jesus not only taught his disciples how to pray - he also prayed for them. In John 17, we find the longest recorded prayer of Jesus, revealing the heart of our Lord as he prays not only for his first disciples, but also for us, his followers today.

At first glance, it’s surprising that the disciples—who walked with Jesus and ministered in his name—would ask, “Lord, teach us to pray.” But prayer is something we can become overly familiar with, even jaded toward, despite how central it is to life with God. In response, Jesus offers what we now call the Lord’s Prayer—a simple, powerful pattern that still teaches us to pray today.

Sometimes we can only see the problem in front of us—but God sees the full picture. In this message from 2 Kings 6, we’re reminded that the God who knows where a small lost item is also knows where we are, and He invites us to trust Him, talk to Him, and ask Him to open our eyes to what He’s doing. He proves Himself in the small and shows Himself just as faithful in the big.

When life is hard, praise can feel far away. But Scripture shows us a different rhythm—one where worship rises not from comfort, but from conviction. Even when you're far away and alone, in the belly of a fish or a wilderness of fear, God is still good. So we are still praising. We will give thanks to the LORD not because life is good, but because He is good!

In a story full of brokenness, injustice, and pain, the encounter between Hagar and God in the wilderness reveals a profound truth: God hears and God sees. Though Hagar was mistreated, forgotten, and cast out, the LORD met her personally, named her child, and gave her hope. This same God still sees us in our wilderness moments and opens our eyes to His provision and presence.

The disciples had experience, knowledge, and authority—yet they couldn’t cast out the demon. In Mark 9, Jesus reveals that some battles can’t be won by effort, argument, or familiarity—they only come out by prayer. This message calls us back to honest, faith-filled dependence on Jesus, reminding us that spiritual problems require spiritual solutions, and our greatest help is found in persistent prayer.
