We're beginning a new teaching series on the church. In this introductory teachinng we look at the beauty and purpose of the church. The church is called "the bride of Christ" and as such she is chosen, called and loved. In addition, the church is an essential community for all Christians, purposed to put God's beauty on display.

Jesus calls for his church to stand for truth and fight the good fight of faith. But if we lose our love along the way, we're in trouble. In Revelation 2, he called his church in Ephesus to return to their first love, and he wants us to hear him today too.
How we live now is completely controlled by what we believe about our future. We have a true and sure hope of God's coming kingdom ahead and this ought to give us the perspective to influence our faithfulness now.
