Is a good life a life filled to the brim? Or is a good life one in which there is space to think, create, and be with God? I think we all know the answer but that hasn't seemed to slow any of us down much. We still fill most of our "free" time with tv, social media, and whatever else we find entertaining. We don't know how to be bored long enough for creativity, deep thinking, and imaginative ideas to kick in.

We all have healing of some sort to do. Some have more trauma than others but none of us has been free of being hurt and offended in some way. This is a fallen world, after all. We hurt each other but we also have a role in healing each other. In this episode, we'll talk about how God heals us through his love and the love of others.

We have a tendency to pretend with others and with God about how we're doing and what's going on in our hearts and lives. But God meets us where we're really at and pretending we're somewhere else gets us nowhere. Let God minister to you through his word, his Spirit, and his people by being honest and vulnerable.

Heaven isn't just a far away place where God dwells and where we'll one day go. Heaven is now. God has launched his new creation through Christ and we are agents of that new creation. Those who have the Spirit dwelling within them are to be about bringing shalom to earth while we also wait for the perfecting of this new creation to be accomplished. This is what it means to live in the already and not yet. It looks like knowing we have victory over sin and death but still living in vulnerable bodies and dealing with sin and it's effects.

I have a new focus for this podcast. I enjoyed talking about living life healthy, wealthy, and happy because I think we all want to live a good life. But I think many of us are confused about what makes a good life. I know that I don't want to get to the end of my life having chased the wrong things. I don't want to waste my life. I want to live a life that is full of purpose, love, joy, and generosity. I want to give of myself for others and use my gifts for the glory of God.
