Trauma can affect you directly and indirectly despite how trauma is trauma is trauma and must get resolved. What you're doing in your life can postively and negatively affect somone else especially your children. This week we talked about using self awareness to leave a toxic relationship with Chimere Norris. My conversation with Chimere was vast so I had to edit it down for the podcast. I want to share a truth moment from our conversation about having flexibility in your strategy.

Flexibility is something most people leave out when pursuing their goals so they get stuck, disouraged, and fall off because their plan is not unfolding the way they want it too. Most times the first step to making a leap into the unknown is letting go of expectations and/or ideals that you've held on to for so long. You may have to re-evaluate your beliefs, priorities, and/or values in order to see the obvious in order to make the best decision for YOU.

Yes, the best decision for YOU because once that decision is made it automatically becomes the best decision for your family. Chimere Norris gets very vulnerable with us today with sharing her story in order to free the guilt and clear up confusion for others who are in similar situations. For today's Moment of Truth we're going to talk about being comfortable being uncomfortable. This is a necessary evil so we're going to lay out some tools to help you with this particular task. Every life coach says this but I'm going to give you some understanding how to make this happen.

My word for this year is obedience. This episode is coming to you because I was obedient to the word and idea that was dropped in my spirit. I'll talk more about that in this episode. But please listen with an open mind because soul ties are real and prevent us from truly living our truth. What you may not know is that soul ties comes in many different forms.

Teaching our child how to advocate for themselves starts with how we advocate for them. It's a fact that we don't know everything; despite that fact it shouldn't turn into a reason not too. If you believe it or not, your child is watching you closely learning and soaking up good & bad habits on how to deal with the harshness of this world.

We can learn so much from our children if we just allow them to naturally evolve into the person God created them to be. As a Christian, I believe that God gave each of us a purpose and calling before we were born. It's important to allow our children to operate within their purpose, even at a young age. I think most times we don't give our children enough credit because they know and understand more than we think.

After talking to Hailey Fields, kid entrepreneur and author with her own day here in Houston, it's evident our children are very resiliant, smart, and driven. Grace Fields, mom and manager, confirms that it takes a village to raise a child and you truly can have your own identity outside of your children.
