Love without action is dead. Jesus secured God’s love for us through his action. To follow Jesus is to be a people who love through action.

The Christian life is a call to the same radical, others focused, self-sacrificing love that Jesus demonstrated for us on the cross. It is the kind of love that will go out of its way to seek the well-being of another person, even if it’s inconvenient and undeserved.

God’s love for us produces faith in us that results in obedience from us. When we understand that God has freely accepted us in Christ, we can freely obey him because of Christ.
