In Joel 1, The locust destroys the land, and our response is to turn to the lord. We see a sober warning of greater judgement if we don' t turn to the Lord.

At the end of of 1st Peter, we see a reminder of the key points of the letter, and the focus on God’s Higher Calling to His Glory

1 Peter 5:8-9

In this passage, we see we are called to cast our anxieties and cares on God, who cares for us. We see that our anxiety is rooted in unbelief and how to trust in His promises in our lives.

1 Peter 5:5-7

1. We are to be humble before one another.

2. We are to be humble before God.

3. Pride is deadly.

4. Humility gives life.

5. We must pursue humility.

6. Humility comes from and leads to Jesus.

From 1 Peter 5:1-5 we see that God's higher purpose in His local church.

3. God's structure in the church

4. God's plan for the church

Pastors are to shepherd the ones Christ suffered for.
