Pastor Dooba resumes our verse by verse series through the Gospel of John with John 19:17-27, during the
last hours of Jesus' life before the cross. Our interludes in Jonah and Ruth were strategic: Jesus is about to give the people of His day the "sign of Jonah" (Matthew 12:39-40, Luke 11:29-30) and fulfill the duties of a redeemer, not only for Israel, but for the whole world.

Ruth's story began with famine, death, and uncertainty, but concludes in blessing, new life, and assurance or redemption. And redemption not only for Ruth by Boaz, as through them would come the family line of the Redeemer of the world: Jesus Christ

Every year, Living Hope Church hosts a week long "Vacation Bible Experience" (VBX) for children ages 0 through 12. Pastor Gerald Shearman, our Youth Ministry Director, brings us the message of this year's VBX, which wrapped up yesterday, "Kingdom Keepers." The curriculum (by Answers in Genesis) walked the children through the Armor of God from Ephesians 6:10-18, teaching them about the tools that God has given us to resist Satan as we further His kingdom.
