Paul longs for believers to know God better, but much more than that, to know his power as well and that power should both humble us and give us great confidence.
God works all things according to the counsel of his will to the praise of his glory. That phrase is actually good for us and when we learn that truth it will be better for us.
Though Paul talks about both Jewish and Gentile believers, he shows their utter unity in Christ and the incredible privilege of our inheritance in Christ.
