We love the poster for The Old Ways (2020). But the movie itself, not so much. We’re back with a little catch up of what we’ve been doing, including a bit of discussion on broadway shows (we’re theatre kids at heart). But first, a random tangent about hot dogs!

It’s clear to see that we are obsessed with horror movies but did Obsession (2026) live up to the hype for us? We’re late to the party this time so it’s about time we finally saw this new film everyone’s been talking about. It's another film written and directed by a Youtuber and it has us wondering how many others get excited to hear that.

Another A24 film and another film by a Youtuber so of course we had to see this one. Apparently, liminal spaces creep out Mia but not Luis, so does this movie work for both of us? We’ll get to that but first let’s catch up a little. We talk current books we’ve been reading and name which actor has a film catalogue we’d watch through in its entirety.

We’re doing things a little bit differently this time and jumping right into our thoughts on Hokum (2026). Listen as we try to decipher what really happened and what was all nonsense (hokum).

Sports! Yeah! We are totally not the people to talk about sports, but for whatever reason Mia was really excited to see HIM (2025). Maybe because there aren’t really any sports themed horror movies out there? And as for Luis, he was really excited to see Project Hail Mary so he’ll share some of his thoughts on it. And don’t worry, no spoilers for that one.

Of course we couldn’t miss recording a podcast on a film about a podcast. We’re discussing Undertone (2026) this week. We went in not knowing anything about it, but how did it leave us feeling? You’ll have to listen to find out. And if the title makes you start singing Linkin Park, just know you are not alone.

This week’s film, Under the Shadow (2016), is the first Persian film we’ve seen. This haunting film is one we highly recommend checking out for yourself. There’s a lot here to read into and we know we just scratched the surface of it all in our own discussion.

No Me Sigas (2025) is the first Blumhouse produced movie made outside the US. We have some mixed views on Blumhouse films and this one really didn’t win us over. With social media being at the center of the plot we did find ourselves sharing some of our thoughts on social media and if it will be our downfall.Podcast Music by Scott Arc.

Desaparecer Por Completo (2022), translated as Disappear Completely is a horror film from Mexico. We really knew nothing about this one beforehand and recommend for others to go in blind too. Speaking of being blind, there’s a lot of discussion about being able to see in this episode, as Luis wears glasses and Mia is finally getting some!

We’ve got another film from a Youtuber. This time it’s Iron Lung (2026) from Markiplier. We skip a lot of the small talk this week to jump right into how we feel about Markiplier and ultimately this movie.
