Others expectations are a fact of life and how we respond to them can determine what we consider ordinary and what we deem great. Clearly there are many influences and choices in life. What are we using to navigate? What happens when we step back and look at something like ordinary greatness and see into our underlaying beliefs? How do we sort thru the mixed messages that surround us? Can we bring the various influences together to sort out and discover a deeper and authentic meaning for ourselves?
Our lives and the world we are living in are miraculous. This podcast is about finding and creating a deeper connection between the seemingly opposite and divisive meanings we have created so far. If you long for a new way to connect and create, please join us in this journey of exploration.

Welcome to the Living in Paradox Podcast!
Language is perhaps one of the most powerful tools ever created; it has the power to connect, to teach, it defines meaning as we explore the world, and it can also divide. We connect to the world and with others through language; we can find shelter in warm words and compassion and understanding in someone's silence. But sometimes, language is not enough for the type of bond we are looking for or need, and we need to find a more unified worldview.
I'm Dr. Anna Karin, and I was born in Stockholm, Sweden. I lived there until my parents decided to move to the States when I was 5. Learning how to speak English took me a couple of weeks and thanks to my mom, I also kept my Swedish. My whole life, everything had two different words attached to it and yet, what was described was actually itself, not the description. I've realized that a thing can exist regardless of if we have a word for it or not. It is our power of observation and ability to put a name to something that anchors our personal reality. What are you observing and creating?
