Edward O’Connell is a revered Washington, D.C.-based songwriter, whose newest third album, “Feel Some Love” was released in October of 2022. Carrying a “tunesmith torch” that earned him comparisons to Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, Tom Petty and Warren Zevon, O’Connell has garnered various songwriting awards and multiple Wammie (Washington Area Music Awards) nominations, and he appears regularly in the D.C. area as a member of multiple bands including The Cooperators, The McDuffees, and The Montgomery Warlocks, and as a featured keyboard and guitar player in various BandHouse Gigs and Newmyer Flyer productions. As a young radio DJ in Hartford, he was the last person to interview Little Feat's Lowell George before he died a week later, and a clip of that interview is on this episode.
