Somewhere Under The Rainbow

Living on The Fringe

Listen Later

The poor are being excluded on all levels by free market capitalism (mostly driven by greed) and an unfair system of consideration for community support to those same individuals. Why is it that two people with the same circumstances are given different outcomes because of external factors such as appearance, race, sex, or gender identity? This is not fair or equitable treatment. Every person that genuinely needs help should be able to get it. A person in food insufficiency or homelessness should qualify for the same assistance as the next person in the self-same condition. There should never be a situation where there is not room on a waiting list or reasonable accommodation for any individual. If such a situation arises the community resources need to be permanently established immediately to address the shortfall. Human beings should have basic decency. Even animals are given basic medical care and housing. Why isn’t the same provided to people on a 100% basis? I cover many things in this podcast.
