It usually isn’t perfect plating, an impressive menu or even the food itself. It’s knowing someone remembered what you liked, made room for you at the table and cared enough to feed you.

I recorded this before Lori Krebs became part of the headline—and now the episode sounds completely different.

Before the recent pictures from Mexico, before the questions surrounding Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s longtime publicist, and before The Valley entered another complicated chapter, I spent an evening inside Jax’s Studio City for The Valley season-premiere watch party.

I met people, watched members of the cast react in real time and documented the evening exactly as I experienced it. I wasn’t predicting the future or searching for clues. I was simply sharing what I saw, heard and felt as someone who was actually in the room.

To ask what really matters today instead of trying to do everything.
