Continuing our series, Gather, we arrive at 1 Corinthians 13 and consider Paul’s encouragement to put things in order and love one another with priority, purpose and power!

As part of our mini-series ‘Gather’, we look at 1 Corinthians 12 to how the Spirit enables each of us to play our vital part when we meet.

As we continue our three-part series exploring how and why we’re made in God’s image (Ge 1:26), in this second part we explore the heavenly culture created by the relationships between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, including how their distinction determines their roles. 

In this message, Arne encourages us to understand that as Christians we belong to Christ, that He has filled us with His Holy Spirit, and that we are His body here on earth. As the salt of the earth and the light of the world, we are here to carry out the plan God has for us as the mouth and hands of Jesus to those around us.

He is One (De 6:4) and yet He is also three Persons (Mt 3:16-17). In this message we consider God’s triune nature seen through the Scriptures, the three essential pillars of trinitarian truth, and why this matters if we’re to understand who we are.

David continues in our Gather series in 1 Corinthians 11-14, this time looking at how the heavenly realms impact and influence the way we gather together. 

In today’s message we consider 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 and the powerful way in which we are called to gather to share in the Lord’s Supper. We gather within God's holy, magnificent New Covenant, together. We gather honouring the Body of Christ - recognising the high value of who each one of us is in Christ. We gather worthily - repenting and restoring so that together we enjoy the liberating, significant and unifying blessings of God’s New Covenant!

Looking back over our series in First Corinthians, we see again how love is key to all that happens in the life of the church. We consider how love ensures unity, love enables purity, love defines liberty, love motivates community and love lasts for eternity!
