This Father’s Day we look at the pattern Jesus sets in how we too can know God as our father. In His prayer “Abba Father” we discover the relationship we have as sons of God and the reliance and respect we should have in and for Him.

As we continue to unpack The Cross & The Crown series, Stefan Ruhig brings us this powerful message on how to live out the power of the cross in our daily lives. God, the Holy Spirit lives in us and He wants to reveal Jesus through us.

In his awesome vision of Jesus, the apostle John sees Him "wearing many royal crowns" (Rev 19:12). These many crowns were received as He defeated every enemy on the Cross: embracing a "crown of thorns", Jesus rose victorious to be crowned King of kings and Lord of lords! This message considers what this means for us and how we too can wear the crowns He has won for us.

In His death and resurrection Jesus not only saves us and pays, He also shows us the way. The pattern we are to follow is that to share in His glory, we must first share in His sufferings.

God has always intended his people to be full of His life! Jesus's time on earth as a Man and His death on the cross, tell us about the life God intends us live. And His resurrection and ascension reveal more of that amazing, powerful "life" that has been poured into us as believers. We have been filled with the fullness of the "life" of God.

In his first letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul writes about the power of the Cross and the dangers of allowing clever words or human wisdom to rob us of receiving its full impact and effect (1Co 1:17-18). In this message we consider how the Cross is God's mighty power for us (bringing salvation, healing and restoration), in us (enabling us to live in the power and freedom of a ‘crucified life’), and through us (as God’s power to reach the lost and address the intense needs of our day). There are no substitutes: we must allow the Cross to speak for itself and do its work!...

As we come to the Cross we find such love and such power that many things that previously troubled us are dealt with. But there's more - if we are prepared to dwell there long enough we will ultimately come to the place where we realise it's really all about Jesus. Then, in that place, we can give Him our will, we can yield our lives fully, we can give Him our all.

The Cross shines a spotlight on God's character. In this message we consider what the Bible says about His character, as well as the lens through which we often choose to view Him, and why this matters. Lastly we examine what actually happened on the Cross, when God's wrath was fully vented in order to decisively deal with the problem of sin; and how important it is for us not to 'reinterpret' this event, so as not to offend 'modern ears'.

This Easter we focus on God’s love revealed to us at the cross. God shows just how much He loves us. How much we are Valued, have an Identity and a Purpose in life!

When Jesus removed his robe, bent down and washed his disciples’ feet (John 13), He provided a powerful, dramatic picture of His Incarnation (when He laid aside His majesty and came down to earth to rescue mankind) and of His imminent Crucifixion (as He gave up His life to cleanse us from sin). As king David wrote centuries earlier, “You have stooped to make me great” (Ps 18:35) - and in this devotional message we stand in awe of the work of Christ and consider some of the ways we can respond.
