We have Joyce Kipum Kim join the Living Room for an absolute banger! By far the longest session(s) we've had because of technical issues, we guarantee you will enjoy this episode as Joyce shares all about her life. This 동네친구 is super honest and provides a refreshing (read: female) perspective and thoroughly encouraged Chun and Shim as we got to know her story. Stick around till the very end to get a picture of what we had to go through to get this podcast set up...
We're back from our break with Kevin "vinniworship" Choi as the guest of honor in the Living Room. Chun shares the origin of our pod's name, Shim has it about up to here with the Book Club, and Kevin blesses us with his story. This has to be one of our most wholesome episodes as the 동네친구 is pretty much a walking testimony. Long overdue to have one of our biggest supporters on, so please sit back, take a deep breath, and enjoy the conversation!
We're back this week with none other than David "@kimbapjuju" Ju in the Living Room. This good friend of the pod comes in to share his story, including a legendary night that will always connect him with Shim for an extremely unlikely reason. We barely scratch the surface on David's entire story, partly because we get derailed during our trivia section and partly because there is so much more to this 동네친구. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this episode!
In this week's LRP, it's ~just the two of us~ We go through our weekly segments, focusing a bit more on the Kimchi Express (ALL ABOARD), sharing another classic Quote of the Week, and reflecting upon the past 10 episodes and where we'll go from here. Looking forward to inviting another 동네친구 next week!

We have another one of SHIM's friends on this episode of the pod, as Jung Min "Andrew" Kim, comes into the Living Room. After our weekly segments (shoutout to Fritz Coffee), the episode starts off EXTREMELY HOT as Jung and Chun go in on each other. Although this 동네친구 has spent more time interacting with Chun online than in person, you wouldn't know it as we go tiki taka all throughout. You're not gonna want to miss this one as Jung drops bombs near the end of the episode!
We had some audio/internet issues so you might hear some skips/dialogue get cut off, but there's enough to get the gist of it!
We have a special guest on this episode of the pod, as one of SHIM's friends, Kevin "Bong" Shin, comes into the Living Room to share all about his Murrieta pride and upbringing. This 동네친구 brings in some hot takes, spits some wisdom, and even drops the name of a former love interest (!!!), so you're not gonna want to miss our longest episode to date!
Something about them OKC boys, man... We have one of the biggest supporters of the pod join us in the Living Room for this one, Yeon Jun Kim, as he shares all about his recent engagement, how he fell in love with Joyce, and his Occupational Therapy journey. Another great 동네친구 just sharing about his life. This OT is OD.
Stick around after the outro for a question we have for ya'll!
Wild. Honest. Raw. Completely unhinged. Just a couple of ways to describe today's episode of the Living Room. We have a highly sought after guest, Tony "@plantingencouragement" Yu, shares a story from his Lancer days and opens up about his pastoral journey. You'll understand why Tony is considered one of the nicest people our 동네친구's know after you hear this one!
P.S. Stick around after our outro song for a surprise : )
Extremely tough episode of the Living Room this week. Our good 동네친구, Danny "The Korean Zombie" Oh, walks us through his journey from childhood, to Cal State Fullerton, and even the East Coast as he pursued his passion. This is by far the most emotional session we've had. We weren't expecting it, but hey... that's life!
We have a good one for ya'll this week! One of our oldest mutual friends, Billy "Boco" No, joins us in the Living Room to talk about his journey. Another FJC alum, Billy recounts his tale of coming to America, switching schools, and his time at Quibi : O The 동네친구's really just vibe out in this episode.
We apologize for the mic issues, Billy had to resort to just his AirPods : (
