John 14: 1–14


Stones are used as markers, for buildings, wells, altars, water giving, and tomb sealing. Peter was even given the name meaning rock, after he confessed who Jesus was. Jesus in 1 Peter is presented as a rejected stone, something seen as lacking or imperfect, not good enough. It is on him that appeared imperfect but was the perfection of God that you are called to be living stones. What is your life being built into for the kingdom of God?
