Just four days ago, Callum Osmand hadn’t played a single minute of senior football in his young career.

Now, after being handed his debut by Martin O’Neill in midweek, the 19-year-old has fired Celtic into the League Cup Final - scoring a goal he’s since described as “the happiest moment of his life.”

It was a brilliant day at Hampden under O’Neill’s leadership, and the returning hero deserves huge credit once again for getting the best out of Osmand, Auston Trusty, Callum McGregor, and others when their team needed them most.

Like Osmand, it’s been a whirlwind week for O’Neill too - but right now, there’s no one else we’d rather see steering the Celtic ship.

It may only be two wins in four days, but it feels like so much more, as Celtic finally look to get their season back on track.
