The busyness of life, distractions, worries, and cares can be all-consuming. Whilst it is good to work hard, develop personally, and seek to live a better life, doing so at the cost of giving yourself and your mind a break can have negative effects. It is crucial to find a balance.
In this episode, I encourage you with ways to develop peace of mind habits
1 Peter 5v7: Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Psalm 46v1: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
Roman 8v6: The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
Matthew 6v27: Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Recently I went to my first networking event in four years! At the Karen Brady business and Tech event, I had many conversations with women from different backgrounds. However, I noticed in most of my interactions that many women, especially middle-aged women, said they were finding it hard to get the confidence or courage to jump into the things they wanted to do.
So with these ladies in mind in this episode, I share some things I noticed from my mid-life journey that helped me build my confidence.

We are living in some troubling times at the moment. The world seems to be going from bad to worse with rumours of wars, wars, recession, cost of living crisis, all kinds of evil being promoted as good, and civil unrest. Every day, it seems something troubling or concerning is going on that does not include the personal challenges we all face in our lives. What is the cost of holding onto your past hurt, trauma, insecurities, fears or doubts? In this episode, I share something that I held onto from my past for over 20 years. Thankfully by the grace of God, I let it go and now I am trying my best to live an empowered life to the full.
