Jesus wears the scars of our redemption on His body.
Those beautiful scars that Jesus bears, remind us of our healing.
DO YOU WANT THIS HEALING?
Isaiah 53:5
John 20:24-29
Mark 2:9-12
Pastor Eric brings the 3rd sermon in this mini-series about the importance and power prayer from the Sermon on the Mount. When You Pray, Pray This Way, and PRAY TOGETHER.
A sermon by Pastor Eric Jones about prayer.
Prayer starts with the understanding of WHO we are praying to.
Jesus reminds us that prayer is a conversation with GOD.
“LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY” – Luke 11:1
9 "This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' – Matthew 6:9-13
Prayer is not optional for the Jesus follower. After all, Jesus said, "When you pray," not "if you pray." And this gift of prayer is an everyday, all day calling.
Pastor Eric continues our study through the Sermon on the Mount and brings a message from Matthew 5:38-48. Jesus is calling us to love people who hurt us, who take advantage of us, who harm us, who rob us, cheat us, lie about us, and ignore us. Jesus is calling us to impossible love.
