This overview of 2 Peter reminds us that the Christian life is not stagnant. It’s not a “One-and-Done” transaction. If we aren’t moving forward in our faith, then we're falling backwards. Living for Jesus is always forward momentum.

But we must beware of bad theology (aka, theological vomit). Bad theology will trip up our forward momentum in Christ. And we keep our forward momentum by focusing on the return of Jesus.

The key to living a kingdom of God lifestyle is servanthood. We must be like Jesus who was the servant of all.

3. WEAK LEADERSHIP IS DANGEROUS: But from Pentecost on, the church has stepped away from that safety zone, and being indwelled with the Holy Spirit, believers have moved in the power of the Holy Spirit.

4. KIS – KEEP IT SCRIPTURE: The church isn’t charged with giving people tips and tricks for a good life (not a self-help, life-coach); rather, the church is charged with teaching Scripture .
