Today we were honored to have Archbishop Alexander Sample celebrate mass at our parish! Here is his inspiring homily about the Eucharist.

Our beautiful church is being restored. Confronted with the inconvenience this will bring, Fr Timothy reminds us that the cost of sainthood is not just a little convenience, but everything we have. If you really believed the Eucharist is what we say it is, there is nothing that's not worth sacrificing to have it.

Today Fr Timothy reminds us that the rejection of Church hierarchy can lead dangerously to the rejection of Christ Himself. As we prepare for a visit from our Archbishop, Father Timothy makes it clear that the diabolic spirit of rejection of Church authority will not be permitted in our Church. We are so grateful to have spiritual fathers as faithful as Archbishop Sample and Fr Timothy!!

The Lord wants connection with us in prayer. Rote prayers are beautiful. But He wants more than that. He wants to know us, and to be in deep, dynamic relationship with us. How do we begin to pray in a way that facilitates this? LISTEN TO FIND OUT!!!!

Today Fr Timothy speaks about the wonderful things the Lord is doing in his heart, giving us an example of great humility as he apologizes for trying to live and work on his own power instead of relying completely on Our Savior...Jesus, we surrender to you. Take care of everything!!!

In the midst of a crazy world, Fr Timothy reminds us find peace in the reality of Jesus' Kingship. Once we build a relationship with Jesus through prayer, we can think about evangelization. Today we are reminded of our mandate to preach the gospel...despite the evil spirit of fear!

We Catholics have a wonderfully systematized faith, and there's a danger there – it's possible to partake in all the sacraments, and check off all the Catholic “boxes,” while our hearts are not open and receptive to what is being offered there. To receive the grace of the Holy Spirit, we must be vulnerable and open with the Lord, bringing our true selves to Him every time. Reality Himself will only move through what is real, so bring your weak, messy self to prayer and let the Savior save you.

There's no way to approach Jesus in pride. We must approach him in humble trust. But how can we trust him if we don't know him? And how can we know him if we don't spend any time with him? This Sunday Fr Timothy exhorts us to FLIP OUR TIME – spend more time in prayer...amen!!
