A CHRISTMAS SEASON BONUS EPISODE OF LIVING THROUGH THE WORD:

While December 25th dominates the life of the Church as we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, there are three critical feast days that tell the account of the sacrifice paid for the cause of the Messiah on the 26th, 27th, and 28th of December that we must also commemorate.

Bishop Julian Dobbs is joined by the Venerable Michael McKinnon, rector of the Church of the Advent in Southern Pines North Carolina, as they discuss the feasts of St. Stephen, St. John, and the Holy Innocents.

Just in time for Advent, we bring you the gift of wonderful Advent and Christmas music for the church... But... these aren't the same three tunes you're used to. We brought music historian John Ahern on to discuss some deeper cuts and to reflect on how the proclamation of the entire gospel was such an important role for the earlier hymn writer, even when penning more seasonal tunes.

Bishop Julian interviews his friend, the Rev. David Pileggi who serves as the Rector of Christ Church Jerusalem.

The Rev. Pileggi reports on the situation on the ground in Jerusalem, pastoring a congregation in the theater of war, and the evil source that precipitated the current war and genocide across the globe.

The Rev. Dr. Danny Hyde returns to discuss the importance of the creeds in the life of the church. Where did the creeds come from? Why do we repeat them if they aren’t the Bible? Is just believing the creeds enough to claim Christian orthodoxy?
