"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders..." The Prophet Isaiah hints at the Kingdom message that Christ preached. Jesus told Pilate that if His Kingdom were of this world, then His servants would fight. Did Christ redeem us from the burden of earthly governments?

'Come unto me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.' This promise from Jesus applies to every burden that human kind deals with. How does Christ redeem the burden of finances?

In Pilgrim's Progress, John Bunyan describes in detail how difficult it was for Pilgrim to carry the burden on his back, and how liberating it was for him to finally be freed fro the burden at the Cross. But in Galatians the Apostle Paul tells us, "Let each one carry his own burden" and "Bear one another's burdens". So in the life of the Believer, is a burden something good or something bad?

Do you get uneasy when someone starts talking about works? Do you immediately think, "We are saved by grace"? Good works are over emphasized in some circles and barely mentioned in others. What is the place of works in Christianity?

"Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus". Paul says this and then he goes on to describe Christ both as humbled to the death on the cross and exalted to the throne of Heaven. So which mind of Christ are we to have? Humble or exalted? Perhaps a better way to ask the question is to say, 'Who does the Great I AM say that I am?"

When we see another Believer stumble, what is our first response? What is our goal? Paul said, "If a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one..." When he said 'you who are spiritual', was he referring to you?

As we come to the end of the messages on the fruit of the Spirit, we take one more look around this tree that 'shall bring forth his fruit in his season'. Is the Jesus tree in you bearing Jesus fruit?

One of the best evidences of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a human life is a self under God's control. Are you working hard to control things in your life or have you discovered the peace that comes from putting yourself under His control?

Gentleness, meekness. Have you ever heard the saying, "Meekness is weakness"? Meekness, or gentleness, is often misunderstood. Biblically speaking, gentleness comes from a position of strength and authority.

Are you able to demonstrate gentleness in situations where you have the power and authority to correct and rebuke?
