By definition and design, Jesus was programmed to flourish. So with Christ in you, by definition and design, you are programmed to flourish.
Maybe you don’t feel like you’re flourishing... Depressed from distanced learning? Bummed from bosses? Crazy from kids? Perspiring from politics? Well, we’ve got a word and a testimony that’ll prove our point and get your "faith blood" pumping again!

Many times in church we focus on the feel-good sides of the Bible’s standout characters, like Abraham and Sarah: their incredible journeys, their unique faith, the wonderous promises God made to them. But there’s a twist to their story—another character in the plot—someone who often times gets overlooked. Her name is Hagar.
Hers is a story of demotion, disillusionment, and distress. Thankfully it doesn’t end there. Despite her ongoing frustration, the Lord continues to meet with her, rescue her, and bring her life-giving water in the wilderness. God the Father graciously leads Hagar from the dry desert of loneliness into a sea of security where she can confidently say:
You are the God who sees me.
Genesis 16:13

Do you believe you can still experience the presence, blessing, favor, and goodness of God amidst your frustrations? We do!
We can’t count how many times in life we have given in to daily frustrations, yet God has continued to show His loving kindness and abundant blessings toward us amidst our weaknesses. It’s that unrelenting goodness of our Father God that often pulls us out of our inner turmoil—giving us a fresh and hope-filled perspective on the challenges we’re facing.
We believe you’ll begin to see that life’s not “one or the other.” It’s actually an imperfect journey that’s continually marked by the goodness of the Lord no matter what!

We’re so excited to welcome Dr. James Tan to LW Northwest this weekend! He is the pastor of Covenant Life Church in Jakarta, Indonesia. Not only is he a very good friend of Living Word but he has personally been one of the most influential people in Pastor Brandon and Heidi’s lives.
The Holy Spirit plays a vital role in the church. That role is not to make the message of Jesus more relevant, but to make an encounter with God more real. In fact - it is better for us to have the Holy Spirit in our lives than to have Jesus still walking the earth.

We are so excited to host this conversation with Pastor Lynne Hammond who will share her story of dealing with depression and how she overcame it! It is an inspiring reminder of how Jesus can impact our lives and change our situations if we dare to believe that what He says about us is true.

Everyone has faced or will face those certain challenges that come out of nowhere, hit you like a tidal wave, seem impossible to overcome, and require a miracle.
This coming Sunday, we are honored to host a conversation with our friend, Sunday Burquest. There’s no one better to help us continue our Overcomers series than this Survivor. After beating cancer once, Sunday is facing another battle with the disease—one we’re sure she’ll overcome again!
If you or someone you know needs a shot of adrenaline, hope, and inspiration to face whatever enemy has been knocking at the door, you’re not going to want to miss this powerful conversation.

If your marriage sometimes feels like a tractor pull, if your household is sometimes measured by the crazy scale, if you drink ridiculously large amounts of coffee to stay on top of things, if all the perfect people marriage books on the market make you puke... YOU’RE NOT ALONE!
Overcoming Marriage Mountains is today’s message. We certainly don’t have all the answers - but we have each other... so let’s have a conversation!

Pastors Ryan and Angela Watkins from our Living Word Saint Paul campus are tremendous leaders in their church and city. They join Pastors Brandon and Heidi for an open and honest conversation about inequality that exists around us.
It’s impossible to deny some of the ongoing social injustices our nation is facing. Awareness of such challenges is something that permeates our society on many levels. It’s counterproductive to simply search for resolution from blogs, social media posts, or news outlets—most of which grossly underestimate God’s ability to bring His Heavenly justice onto the scene—His Kingdom coming and His will being done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
We talk about how we as individuals and as the Church help our nation overcome something we may not fully understand.

You are an overcomer. It's built into your DNA.
Pastor Brandon started our new series by reminding us of how important it is to focus on the blood of the Lamb and the powerful word of our testimonies.
This year has been challenging to say the least: Australian brush fires, stock market crashes, public protests, COVID pandemics, and that is just the short list. One thing we can hold on to during these times is that we are made to overcome. It's part of who we are.
