Have you ever come across the classic work "Bungalow Bliss" by the late Jack Fitzsimons?  Well a follow-up has now been published by Jack's son Kennas Fitzsimons and we had a chat with him today which provoked many memories with listeners.  We caught a word with International Travel Blogger Ashlyn George as she extolled the people, produce and places of the Northeast!  Professor Sean Redmond has carried out some brilliant research into juvenile gang culture which he discussed with Gerry.  Sinead Faulkner told us about her liver transplant and if you follow Joe McCormack's advice you can Ace the Leaving and Junior Certificate examinations.

Sinead Faulkner is a remarkable woman whose life was saved by an organ donor!  It all began when she was 13 and ultimately saw Sinead receive a liver transplant at 19 and boy has she grabbed life by the scruff ever since....

What a wonderful young woman Gerry talked with to open today's show!  Ciara McCormack's work will lead to a far better quality of life for people living with Pulmonary Thrombosis.  Fr Michael Cusack's time in Dundlak is coming to an end and he's leaving as he arrived all those years ago helping others.  Susan Oakes has made a remarkable recovery from a serious brain injury.  And those harbingers of Spring returning from the south of Africa - Swallows and Martins have been spotted - Dick Coombes from Birdwatch welcomed their arrival.

On World Autism Awareness Day local mum of five Carol Lennon spoke of the challenges facing young adults with autism.  Louise Carolan and Gerry gave credence to the old saying "Laughter is the Best Medicine".  Trichologist Liam Byrne offered lots of advice on scalp and hair care while the wonderful Eanna Ni Lamhna put names on Gerry's Signs of Spring!!

Karl O'Dwyer from Dunboyne is Ireland's fastest man but we slowed him down for a while this afternoon!  John McGovern received a most precious gift last September and it has changed his life.  Verner Wheelock revealed his daily food intake on his low carbohydrate/high fat eating regime.  Ann Carolan is our Unsung Hero for March while Teeling single malt Irish whiskey has been named Best in the World.

Any one of our Finalists; Ann Crosby, Detta Connor or Kim Hill would have been deserving of the title Best Mum in the Northeast but it was Detta's name that came out of the hat to win the fantastic prize from Scotch Hall Shopping Centre and nobody left empty handed!!  No shortage of Opinions with Betty Clarke, Ciara Burke and Karen Devine in the house.  Leon Blanche previewed the weekend's sporting action while Friday was Declan Caffrey's lucky day as he won on the double with Husqvarna and Oliver Gough.
